I read it over and over to form some views about this rich poem. I imagine your poem to be referring to yong ones and romance wishing, and may be rushing into companionship while some who were already "yoked" together are staying apart. Hoping I did understand the rich imagery of the poem. Well done, dear Bill.

This ekphrastic (or is it eggphrastic?) 5-7-5 is punny and makes me think it's time to make some meringue. Maybe it's time to check out the hen's mental condition, too.

"Eggs kissing" is a weird image for people to image. Not sure what the second line means. The last line is one of the outcomes of the kissing.

Well done and this is a strange poem as usual.
