Oh NO!! Trouble with a capital T for poor Hank. Now, just what the heck made that bull go totally nuts? You sure keep the reader guessing with each chapter, M.

What? Kramer gone already? Na, he gets out right? Well, I guess this would be a good character to kill off. The miserable old man. I was just getting to like him though. This is a very well written book, and very much my type of story. I love it. I do that sometimes also, put very short chapters and then longer ones. It doesn't matter as long as it's good, which it was.

I hated to do it to the old guy, but it was necessary to the plot. Sometimes it's hard dividing my chapters up in equal lengths. I've had to resign myself to having some longer or shorter than others. There are just places within chapters that make for a good place to stop. It's frustrating at times! Oh, well.

    I'm enjoying your reactions!

Well, it appears that Kramer did meet his end but not the way I thought. I had imagined the killer was butchering the bull and Kramer walked in on the massacre only to be murdered himself. Nice twist!

That hadn't occurred to me, but then, I know where this is all going. LOL

I'm glad you liked my version, Ransomme. Thanks.

Indeed a short chapter, but a great read all the same. I wonder what happened to the bull, and the farmer.

Guess I am going to have to wait and read on and discover what is going on in this town...

Thanks for sharing.

Sarah.

Hey Marjorie,
Very realistic. Brutal ending for Kramer! Nice job with the pacing and woorking the tension as we build into this scene with Kramer and the bull. This was a totally unexpected development, but I'm looking forward to finding out why Kramer had to die such a horrible death. No SPAG I could see.

It made me feel bad to do that to Hank Kramer, but it had to be done to advance the plot ... believe it or not! (Trust me. I think I've said that before. LOL)

Thank you, CJ. (You'll understand eventually. I give you my word.)

I guess old Hank, should have been content with the cows. Now he's not around to do any milking. Question what has this to do with the murded woman? I guess I'll find out with the next chapter. Bye for now.

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! I didn't see many changes, but if I remember correctly from L&K, none were really necessary. It was a wonderfully descriptive half chapter and well worth the read. As I said, it has to have all your readers mourning the sad little man you forced us to love while wondering what in the world this has to do with Valerie Davis' murder. Hmmmm. Checking for new chapter. Must ... read.

Hugs,

Heather

I still feel guilty about Hank. (sigh) What we won't do for a story! LOL

    Thanks again, Heather!

Short is definitely better. This is a piece I could race through feeling poor Kamer's horror. You grabbed me and now I will read all the chapters. Wonderful descriptions of the bull's rage.

Wow, Marjorie, you did a great job on the descriptions of the bull--his shaking head and red eyes--great and it was exciting, I thought. I was laying there with poor Hank wanting to hide:) No oops for me, just compliments. Mary

This is the first chapter I've read in your book, but I found it very exciting. Your writing is precise and shows good imagery. I could envision the barn, the bull, and the terror stricken old man. The only thing I didn't see was errors.

Great job.
