Fantastic!

?It?s been awhile--eight or nine years, but I?d hardly call this history ancient. You?re what, twenty-five, twenty-six now?? I like this.

"They cart wheeled across the table and came to a halt in front of Ray." I like this imagery.

"One referred to you as a bloody mess. You?ve heard the phrase, haven?t you? It?s a popular British term. Funny thing is, he isn?t British; your neighbor meant it literally." Great!

Keep up the great work!

Tense lawyer scene. These can be very effective, or dry as dust. You do a good job. I can see Nick seething, and the prosecutor digging in. You have a first rate chapter. I'm looking for more. Best. Ray.

Great job, marjorie. I liked the interaction between all the characters here. I'm wondering if Nick is innocent or not, but everything seems to be pointing against him. Having not read the rest of the book, I can't be sure. This was very interesting though, great job!

    Hi Syndactl.

The rating tells me you found something that needs work. Most of my chapters do. LOL If you can tell me what this needs, I'd sure appreciate it.

    Thanks very much!
