Cool poem, bro. I rememeber that poem you wrote after he suffered the stroke. That was one of my favorites from you, i thik it was titled after a certain time, like 6:08, but I am probably wrong. I'm glad he's still with you guys though. My dad is getting up there in age too. Lifes a trip, that is for certain. Hows Chas, btw? Haven't seen him in a long time.
Anyways, well written poem. Even better than the seasonal one, im personal taste, that is. Peace. Zack

Thank you, brother. The personal ones do seem to bite a little better, don't they? Yes, it was February 9, 2001, and we're coming up on the 7th year. Never thought he'd still be with us. Just grateful for that, brother. Chas is good, and passes along his best wishes and regards. Good to see the TJ name back. It's my favorite of yours.

excellent work. i really like "a man with Phoenix-feathers in his hand"... seems once that line hits the mind the rest just has to be.

Hello Marillion,

A moving tribute to your father. I like the metaphorical treatment of his condition after suffering a stroke. He is
"taller" now. What a wonderful, heartfelt write. Excellent rhythm and rhyme scheme. Nice job.

This is absolutely excellent. It is such a wonderful tribute to your father and to all those brave soul who overcome awesome adversity to become all they can be and more. The last line, the rising with Phoenix feathers in hand, is the epitome of writing at its best.

This was excellent, bravo! What a wonderful tribute to your dad who is now disabled from a stroke. "a man with imitations either ends disabled dreams or, grasping hold, ascends" Just excellent! "A stroke, and age, combined
to wilt his legs, but that ambitious mind survived the lightning of a sudden crash" Just a wonderful piece of writing.
