rare thing of beauty
wafting in misty landscape
of this gray morning

So poetic you are!!! Love this simple one and find that it is not so simple within the lines drawn. Beautifully penned, Blu.

Thank you Gungalo - I tried to stay within the accepted definitions of haiku - glad you appreciated this.

I prefer the classic haiku and barely even acknowledge the newer style. LOL. I'm such a bitch.

Need you say more? I don't think so. It's beautiful as is. No fancy, flowery words, just good, down to earth, truthful writing. Thanks for sharing

Fantastic image and poem. You have spring down very well. We've had some thunder this summer. Nice work. How are things in New Zealand? Ray.

"thunder heralds spring" is a well crafted Haiku poem that paints the picture well for the reader. It sounds like the rainy season in the poem. Well done.

An excellent depiction of thunders, rain and mist heralding spring. I can almost smell that warm, damp freshness permeating the air.

Oh, this is really good, Blu Rider! You chose an excellent picture, and I like the fact that I don't need to look into the picture to get the images in my mind because you WROTE THEM. I really like the second line. Nice work!

I enjoyed your poem. The images seemed to flow nicely and be well connected. I could really see the spring day you are talking about.
Good work, keep it up.

It's so hard to find originality and creativity in the Haiku form, but, friend, you have found it. Nicely done. The artwok also compliments the poetry quite well. I don't see any missteps here.

Ahhhhhh, Blu, what a delight to read your work once again here. Welcome back! A stunning haiku that wraps the reader in the mist and rain of a spring storm. Wonderful presentation.
Smiles,
