Cool! I am inspired! She was some lady. I got slightly bogged down in facts and figures but gleaned that this was an author worth emulating. I recognize Victoria Holt and Phillipa Carr. But I will now keep my eyes open for the other pseudonym. Thanks

Aussie, this is well written and it certainly contains enough vital information to peak a readers interest to inquire of such a talent author. I have not read any of her works, very interesting fro I am an avid reader. This was quite an informative piece and it has accomplished that which was intended. Enjoyed..

Thank you so much for reviewing; no, I find not many Americans have heard of Jean Plaidy; worth reading. Regards Aussie.

Fascinating information. Well researched with lots of pertinent information.

Towards the end there are lots of information given in a very choppy style, especially when you are listing books. You have a ) in there without a ( to match it.

A few spags:
Ellalice Tate, and both - no comma needed

Following the women from Newgate Prison in London to Sydney's penal colony - amidst the brutality of crime, horror, cruelty and indifference. - fragment

Robert Hale accepted the manuscript as he perceived its worth. - you repeat this sentence twice. (There is a sentence between them.)

Robert Hale accepted the manuscript as he perceived its worth. - fragment

this is a most informative and well-organized essay - I could picture this woman who had her writing schedule so laid out - 5 hours in the morning followed by answering fan mail - a woman with so great a work ethic that she wrote on vacation cruises - You provide clear detail of her accomplishments and make me wonder why I am not familiar with her prolific output!

Good Morning, I thank you for your review; Indeed, this writer was very dedicated and I have found most Americans have never heard of her, shame because she was a great writer of historical fiction. More info on her web site. Love Aussie XX
