Hi Jomo, sounds like a plan to me. I try to keep a veggie platter in my fridge, but don't always stick to it. I like to bake and if I bake, well, you know... Your poem is very well presented with an excellent rhyme scheme. This is a great entry for the contest.

My mother is a charter member of Weight Watchers. I understand the program is very successful for those who can count. I lose track after my third martini.

I love the light, fanciful feeling to this poem about the way we look at food and how we have to do many things to overcome this love.

I'm on Weight Watchers program too. Started a few months ago and find it pretty easy to stay on it. I don't look at it as that four letter word (D-I-E-T) anymore but as making smart choices for the rest of my life.
I find it especially funny when you write "Barbeque has met its match...Munched on crispy veggie sticks and didn't even frown"....That is a laugh; I do hate giving up bbq sauce.
But I won't miss the pounds.
