") I really do enjoy all your work, I hope the kids will keep writing, maybe they can make a living at it someday?? I hope. Bless you, and your family Jay, and have a peaceful Memorial Day!! Cheers! Susan
OMG lol, fantastic, hahahaha. what a great poem. i sat here like a shrub ruminating over that last line and how it applied and then the bulb turned on and i basically snorted. this is truly excellent my friend. very creative and very very funny. indeed the optimist would see it as such. this is one of my favorite haikus of all time just so you know. top five for sure, maybe top three. good job.

Hi, Xylok. I'm so confused! Tell me you got my response to your review earlier! I was so moved. But, alas! It can't now be duplicated. Just know that you are appreciated, friend.

i did get it, yes! thanks! i appreciate your thoughts as well.
When done well I love and am amazed by these short works. I've forgotten the name for them right now but to put such complete thoughts into so few words is quite the accomplishment!
I liked it! Very good!

Yes, it was my first attempt at a senryu. It's harder than it seems. I am grateful that you dropped by.
Your truism can be good or bad news depending on whether (pun intended) or not you want or need to have it rain. Out here in this desert, there is usually a 99% chance we won't get a drop even when nature is threatening with lightning and thunder in gray, overcast skies that defy the efforts of sunlight or moonbeams to reach us.
Good luck in the contest with this excellent and well thought out senryu, my friend.

Hi Sue-z-Q! So good to hear from you again. I always enjoy hearing from you. You are from the old school of FanStory writers! I appreciate your well-wishes, dear. Don't be a stranger.
This senryu presents a strong image of an optimist. You have chosen your words well and I enjoyed the humor. The artwork compliments this poem and I can envision being inside a car in a carwash. I would recommend it. Pat Crandall
well done, the format with such few words and yet they speak volumes, the picture was complimentary and i am smiling because where i come from the weather people couldn't predict the weather in a bet, lol
