Your St. Patty's Day musings are great. I truly enjoyed your poem. I especially liked "
Dance as if no one were watching,
Sing as if no one were listening,
And live every day as if it were your last." Happy Belated St. Patrick's day to you!

Hello Carol! What a delightful read ... even the day after the glorious celebration. I loved your shared jokes, toasts, and recipe. There's a little for everyone in here! Hope you had a grand day!

Hi Carol, Sorry I'm a day late, but I loved your St. Patrick Day's message. (Even the day after) LOL Since my British husband and I really enjoy good Irish whiskey, I'll enjoy sharing O'Brian's request to "strain it through his kidneys first" You're so thoughtful to share this with us! Hope you had a lovely St. Paddy's Day! - Karen ;-)

Thanks for the holiday cheer. My mom was a Cork and with Irish in my blood, St Patrick's Day has always been special. After traveling to Ireland, I'm proud to be Irish.

    Robin,

Never been but I would love to go. My great grandparents came from England, but my mother says they had Irish in them as well.

Thank you Carol. What a jolly piece of writing to bring cheer to the day. Loved

May you be in
Heaven a half hour before the
Devil knows you're dead!

The joke at the end made me laugh out loud.

Only a true friend would ask if he could strain it through his kidneys first.

Wow, You had this one packed full of everything and I for one enjoyed it all.
Well done, Buck

Really funny story. I may have to share that with some friends.

I could go for all the toasts. Seems like the perfect St patty's day to me. I've been stuffing myself on corned beef and cabbage for a couple of days now. can't get enought. Great job, and happy St Patrick's day to you too.

    Joy,

I made corn beef and cabbage for my parents and my honey..It melted in your mouth. Even my Dad (who never tells me I did anything right) told me he loved it ...said my mom couldn't make it right. Thanks...Carol

    Sis,

Better we enjoy a bit of the Green than turn green...a bit moldy and smelly I would think....Smiles, CArol

reply by melyuki on 19-Mar-2010
definitely agree with that notion sis. I have no wish to turn green. only my thumbs are green, and that is a good sign. fits in with my love for nature. but the minute anything else goes green I will let you know. hugs to you sis, luv melxxx

    Sis,

Don't worry..the stars in your eyes will blind you while you are floating in the sky...All blue ..no green!

    Love, Sis

reply by melyuki on 19-Mar-2010
tis true sis, and in fact the eyes are all blue with not a hint of green. so there, xxxxxxx

reply by the author on 19-Mar-2010
Mine turn colors..blue, green and gray and darker gray..when they are dark, look out!

Mean ferocious me is on the loose...or else the skies are gray too!

reply by melyuki on 19-Mar-2010
oooh, i's scared. I used to work with a lovely young lady who , when her eyes literally turned black, and I mean black, from their usual blue, she became like a rabid dog.. so ugh, dont scare me sis, or I will cancel my plane ticket for yonderyear.. hugs sis.

reply by the author on 19-Mar-2010
Plane Ticket? You're already flying high..just thought you'd drift in the wind till you got here..LOL

reply by melyuki on 19-Mar-2010
i's likely to be turning green for sure, with the speed of wind at the moment. probably arive in year 2025. and how old would that make us.. ugh hate to go there. xxxxxxx
