This is terrific. I hope the next installment comes soon.

details:

"...my sleep-deprived body through the sea of snoring bodies..." repetition: body/bodies

"God Sent Cafe On Wheels". Quotes are not necessary. God-sent-cafe-on-wheels would be okay.

Can hardly wait for more. Keep writing, Carol.

Colin

You capture life on the streets very well carol..accents may be different but eveything else rings very true, well done.

Chilling in delivery, fast paced as always and with characterizations that are intensely visual. You my friend have such a talent for these types of stories.

looking forward to part 5.
hugs
Suzie

Hello Carol I have a question, how do you know so much about the homeless people of how they live.

Why, I ask is that your descriptions of their living situation are so realistic,
especially the scene with the young man and the defective.

I see in the end so called angel of mercy has attacked once again.

    Gert,

Part of it comes from research and part comes from my heart - connecting to the emotions of my characters I guess. Thank you for your wonderful review.

"Jerry, I could kiss you." The sight of my partner's face was pure heaven, and trust me, I hadn't ever thought of him in that light before now. lol - I liked this line, it shows how desparate poor Max was.

Our killer was someone the victim[']s trusted, someone who cared, thought he was helping - victims - this is plural, the apostrophe made it possessive.

Why is each chapter published as a story, as opposed to a book chapter?

This was beautifully written, Carol. The under cover cop is very realistic. You must have done a great deal of research on the homeless. Nicely done, Carol

    Sharesy,

The story started out as a short story..never meant it to be long...but it gained a life of it's own and here I am writing still. Thank you so much. Carol

Another great chapter. The Angel of mercy is no angel. I wonder what makes him tick. I know we will find out when the time is right. My imigination is going a hundred miles an hour trying to figure it out. Imagery is excellent. Storyline is very giid. Great job, Shirley

Hi Smiles, now that jada is a working girl she's gonna be late reading. But here I am with Max. He's learnt a lot in a short time. Now for him to find out who the Gov is. C'mon, it must be Van Buurens beau or someone we've already met. lol.
Terrific chapter. luv jada
