Wow - the story takes a much darker route in this instalment! How come you haven't put this together as a book rather than a bunch of story stories? Might be easier for readers who are catching up on a few at a time...just a thought!

Anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed Carrie keeps her head.

Sometimes the best thought-out plans just don't happen the way they're supposed to. I figured James was no-good but didn't realize he was that low.
Well done, Buck

OMG. The poor girl, what a terrible end she may have to her life, so shocking. I am not usually drawn to read about violence and crime but confess this story has me hooked. Well done.

Soon enough, we'll have enough do re mi?? to set Colin up in a fine

Another wonderfully written chapter to this intense thriller. Wouldn't this make a nice book? Your descriptions and dialogue flow smoothly from one to another weaving a very intriguing story. Great job!

    Robin,

My apologies for my delay in thanking you for all your continued support and for enjoying the story. I appreciate every encouraging comment.

Another of those unexpected "life happens" has knocked at my door claiming much of my time...I apologize for my delay in thanking you and in writing. I certainly didn't plan on the story being so long, but it took on a life of its own as well. Hopefully, I can see a light at the end of the tunnel for both.

    Smiles....Carol

Nice, tight intro.
You do idiomatic speech patterns so very well.
...but this side of Colin curdled his blood. This paragraph was an interesting twist and gave a tiny glimpse into a softer, more protective side of Mick, and maybe a glimmer of hope for the captured woman.
And then you hit us with the ending. YIKES.
Very, very well done. Kept my interest from word one through the end.
Absolutely no edits or suggestions to offer on this one at all.

This is a very suspenseful and dramatic chapter, and I am eagerly awaiting the next chapter, to see what happens to Carrie, and of course, if James will carry out his threat. Excellent use of dialogue, and great narrative.
Warmest regards, Marijke

Wow... seems that the story has a new turn. It makes me curious about James and what his other preoccupation. Another interesting aspect is Colin. You are an amazing story teller, Carol...

Wow. What a plot twist! The killer is a nut job with a murderous alter ego. I knew James wasn't on the up and up. I'm not entirely surprised he's so coldly letting Carrie die. What a creep.

Carol this is a finely tuned
E ride of suspence and encroaching
terror. You've out-done yourself
with this one. I couldn't stop
reading once I started. Your ending
is a real surprise but it is perfection.
Very polished and rewarding. no nits
or spags. Lora

Sounds like some nasty people. Poor definitely got mixed up with the wrong man (or men). Hopefully something can happen before tomorrow so she can get away, or she'll die, just like the two brothers.

Good read. Thanks.

Regards, anabelle
