My apologies for my delay in thanking you for all your continued support and for enjoying the story. I appreciate every encouraging comment.

Another of those unexpected "life happens" has knocked at my door claiming much of my time...I apologize for my delay in thanking you and in writing. I certainly didn't plan on the story being so long, but it took on a life of its own as well. Hopefully, I can see a light at the end of the tunnel for both.

Hullo Carol ...

As the author of this gripping story, you certainly have to keep your mind in top gear, tracking all the different characters who are linked together in what appears to be a big racket!
I have given you 5 stars, knowing that you will consider the changes recommended ...

* You have - he'd lost a lucrative business, jeopardized his brothers, and most likely, wrote his own death sentence. As you have 'he'd' (he had) ... it should be
... written (not wrote) his own death sentence.
* You have - Maybe I should just give Colin the girl, keep him occupied while I drive ... I suggest - to keep him occupied ....
* You have - or whomever picked up the money ... I believe this should be - or whoever picked up the money.
* You have - the white van with its noisy muffler will track attention .... this should be - will attract attention ...
* You have - This wasn't how'd she'd planned the weekend with Peter ... this should be - wasn't how she'd planned ...
* You have - Call James's office. This should be - Call James' office.

Your next chapter promises to be very interesting, in spite of the unexpected turn of events at the end of this one.
With love from .... Nanette Mary.
Correction ... Where I wrote Call Janmes' office ... it should be - Call James' office. N.M.

oooh scum bag! Knew I didn't like James.

I loved this instalment as usual, but maybe you should consider a little update at the beginning or a who's - who in the author notes, I found myself getting a little lost.

Wow, the story really is gripping. I am so worried about
Carrie's safety. I hate to think of the fate she may have mapped out for her. This is an excellent story and well written.

I get the feeling James will get his, maybe sooner than later.
I hope Carrie lives to see her captors brought down. Well done, Buck

Wow, what a cast of nut
jobs...LOL. Excellently
written and presented. Your
naratives capture your
reader right out and hold on
as the suspence builds while
the dialogues help to carry
the reader through to your
last strophe. Looking forward
to your next post. no nits or

Oh, this is such a wonderful story. There are lots of layers and players involved and they are woven together nicely.

I did have one question:
"Why the change the plans?" Should this be "Why the change in plans?"

Keep up the great work.

The story is getting more complicated. After the three brothers, there's Hank. Or was he here before without my noticing? Perhaps it would be better if you have a 'background' to remind readers of the previous chapter. All in all, interesting chapter, Carol.

Oh, Carol, it is getting more and more interesting. Where is Carrie? And who is the blond in bed with James?
Great use of dialogue, and you have such a wonderful way with narration, always able to provide the reader with visual imagery.

"Fun-buggy? Son, this ole heap hasn't [seen?] any fun in years."

I look forward to the next part, my friend.
Warmest regards, Marijke xxxxx
