An excellent tribute to the one you love. Certainly befitting the title of an ALL TIME BEST. Bitter and sweet are the stories we all recall from time to time. Sharing such heartfelt stories are the best writing prompts for us all.

This is very good. I am touched by your grief and pain. Surely by now you are having more and more better days? I hope so.

This is a lovely tribute to your mother the rhyme flowed nicely but best of all your poem expressed how from her kindness you learned how to live beyond your farewell. All the best and God Bless

Why move on until you have said what you need to say?
I can't even begin to fathom the empty feeling of being without your mother.
(perhaps I can)... my father abandoned us early on after twisting and turning our lives so much that it left shockwaves for decades after.
My mother, like yours, has always been there... I dread the day she's no longer by my side.
You say it well, and with deep emotion and I feel honored to have shared her for only a moment.
Take care and love and laughter to you,
Cat

Oh, God Bless you. I'm sorry I've taken so long to respond. I don't get to go on Fan Story as much as I'd like. Didn't know I had a review for this. I'm sorry about the effect your father had on your life but it sounds like your Mom made up for it. God bless her! My Mom was my best friend and it was my honor to share her with you. Thank you again

This is such a beautiful piece in memory of your mother. Your thoughts are genuinely honest. My favorite part is the last stanza. Excellent work! I actually just posted a poem in memory of my grandmother, last week. It felt good to grieve on paper.

This is a great poem, one of epression and great sadness yet its beautiful as I can picture myself to saying this on my knees Dear Lord, I'd like to refrain
From the tears I've shed at Your knee
And send up a heartfelt "Thank You"
For the angel You sent down to me
Angelic she was, in every way
This treasure You sent from above
Down here I called her Mama
And she answered me with love
I'm so thankful, Dear Lord, that I told her
She was my light when surrounded by darkness
