Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted
I enjoyed the energy, the imagery, and the flow, but was confused by what was actually taking place. There is a lot of back and forth between telling the story, and asides to the reader, a complete jumble of past, present, dream state, etc... a lot going on, not sure where it is going.

    Suggest you just "go with the flow" as its all in fun. It might help to read the preceding 2 chapters but might not either. Thanks for reading and commenting ... Dennis

Your old lady in the nursing home metaphor is bit of a stretch. You can do better. You have done better. I think you take the King Solomon's Mine bit a little too far. We start to wonder if it's a dream or you morphed into another story.

Great humor! Great story. Great setting. I love the feel of this place with its pig sties, run-down hotel, and jungle.
The puns and one-liners never stop!
And at the same time the story is going somewhere.

Good writing and great wit!
