I enjoyed having to scroll to the bottom of the Christmas Tree because it made me want to read your poem.
Your extensive vocabulary shows an obvious love of the English language.
The poem held me entranced until the end. You must possess a giving and loving soul. Thank you.

The last line deserves a ten and so much more.
You said so much and did it so beautifully.
Hard to be caring and sensitive in 2013 but some of us are out there alng with you.
This really touches you and makes you think which is why it needs to be read and savoured.

Ray, this was an exceptional sonnet sequence you have crafted buddy. This was a Shakespearean CLASSIC in the making, the addition of the imagery you portrayed of a mountainous scene was second to none...

Moving, conflicted piece presented in high language. I liked the image of Bacchus filling the glass with red wine and the narrator turning to him and wine because of a decision he cannot make. Congratulations on being picked for Poem of the Month. And, good luck. Quillian

Good work on the editing of this Blank Verse Sonnet -
A beautifully written poem, Ray. One can feel the love and the sorrow of this poem. I liked how you took the reader into the dream which came from exhaustion of the work-week and let us see the peace and passion there, and then, how that sweet dream was lost in a clap of thunder. The feeling of sorrow for the lost dream, and the lost love, was so touching and such a beautiful glimpse into the heart of one who has loved.
