A provocative, well written, thinking thought for a missing bride contest throughout its people's ill-gospelling
narrative story lined contest with an unexacting end. I did like it. Thank you for reading and congratulations and cheers for your deserved victory. Blessings

Hello Janilou. I kept waiting for it. Knew it was coming, could feel it ... almost there the reveal about who was doing what and then BAM! Laughed my butt off and know exactly why this one got 1st place. Brilliant! xoxo Kiwi

Janilu you have a way with words. Anyone who wants to write humorous stories, or mysteries, should study this gem because it is excellent in every way. I did think, when he tousled his bodyguard's hair, that the bodyguard/narrator would be a special character, but you were very sparing in your clues. The ending is simply priceless. Six Woofs.

Okay, this was awesome, didn't see the point of view coming from a dog. Loved it. You have a great imagination, and wonderful story telling talent.

Well I loved it, absolutely roared by the end.

What a very deserving win. This is a fabulous story...hell, I'd send it to Bride magazine---just to see if they have a sense of humour.

Glad I found you.

This is excellent, excellent writing. And I've used up all my sixes, darn it! I thought the dog and the bone at the end was priceless. You deserved to win. Glad I wasn't in this contest; I wouldn't have stood a chance, LOL

Wow, I'm speechless. :-) Thank you so much for recognizing my writing in this way and choosing my entry as the winner of this contest. I'm still working two jobs averaging 120 hours a week and 'writing time' is limited to the wee hours of the night. This is an incredible honor and inspiration. Thank you.

It's getting crowded in here, and the guests are getting smellier. ...:) :) ... how awful!!

His face is looking like a lobster poking out of a ceramic pot .. LOVE it!

Janilou, I love the style of this write - so clever, witty acerbic. The VOICE - I thought it was a butch woman who was his body guard. NEVER guessed until the moment of revelation, the identity of the bodyguard.

I hope this one wins. Hugs xxx

What a surprise that the story was told by a dog! I loved it. You not only wrote a very humorous story, you wrote an excellent social commentary piece on how the Sacrament of Marriage has become a travesty in today's society. I also like how you show animals are often wiser than human beings. Excellent work.

Is the narrator of this story a dog and the dog dug a hole in the back yard and buried the bride in white, because she looked like a bone. Now, I do have to say this is one heck of a good imagination. Good job. God loves you and I do too.
