Hi Jay.
I appreciate your taking the time to review my poem, "Fragmented Stanzas." I always like to read something written by a reviewer, so I searched your portfolio for poems. (Primarily, I consider myself a poet--like to read and write poetry.) I chose this one of yours to review which is wonderful. I enjoyed the intensity and passion.

Some favorite lines:
"The flames of our passion
Swirling us to
Our willing extinction."
as well as entire last four lines.

Wow, this is free verse at its finest, in my opinion - positively sizzling. The passion of this poem practically leaps from the screen, and the expression of togetherness, in the final stanza especially, is wonderfully tender without syrupy sweetness. Beautiful!

I would love it if you went back and read the five prior chapters. I write short and concise pieces. I gear my writing to the reluctant reader so it shouldn't take long. First of all, thanks! In mood for a deal? I've got three chapters in my The Trining book (Fantasy) posted. I'll read and review yours if you reciprocate. I'll have the easier job. My chapters are longer, but the current one is 2nd in the listing so you'll get $1.22 for it (little sales job!) I generally do review in some detail. In that respect, I'll still have the easier job if the other 5 chapters are like the 6th. No spag and you maintain your pov and tense well. But I reports what I finds! Hey, don't feel pressured. I'll read yours anyway, LOL.

This is so good on so many levels. This speaks in an imagery that shows two as one, transformation physically, emotionally and spiritually. Then you have renewal, like the phoenix, thus a rebirth or, perhaps resurrection or a reincarnate sort of subtlety, borne of reactionary properties of several realms.
You really have me thinking here, man. Maybe I am nuts, but this is cool stuff. Great work of art. This is the kind of poetry I like!
