'Heaven Can Wait' (Rain, part two)
Awesome, as always. I need to go back and read the first part but I love how you gave the man the strength to go on. Even in our lowest moments the desire to live is strong.

Sorry I haven't been reading or posting but my MS has sprung its ugly head and I develoed a leasion in the creative part of my brain. It zapped my desire to write or even read. The new meds are helping and I have started painting, stirring my creative juices once again.

I still have no new ideas but the desire is slowly returning.

Have a Merry Christmas if I don't talk to you before then.

Trish

Every possible superlative has probably been used already for this loving lament with its turn to hope at the end. I find rain wonderful, cleansing, just like this work of art, and Mamma even more so; she knows the angels cry. I'm sure this makes them sing. Beautiful conclusion to its first part. Thanks for the inspiring read and eloquently spoken words. Jenna.

You've completed the 'Rain' poem very nicely. With such accolades for Part 1, it was nice to able to read on. Your image of rain washing over unresolved grief, continues to be potent and works very consistently as the central extended metaphor. There is terrific feeling generated, mostly sadness, a little hope. The voice, as you've acknowledged in your notes, repeats the cry of the anguished child, adding much to the overall emotional content. Some terrific language, imagery, and rhyming leave the reader satisfied, but a little melancholy. Loved:
And leaves do blow before they congregate
are you sure, then, you'll wait by the gate?

Reggie, my friend. Don't think of bowing out at this time. As I said many times before, I enjoyed so much your poems and write-ups. Keep writing and give pieces of your knowledge. Stay some more, my friend. Your poem here "Heaven Can Wait" is a beautiful poem. You are one of the best writers I have seen in this site. But if you so decide. This much I say again. I love every bit of your stories and poems. You are one of the tops. I love to see your book when printed. Please keep me in mind. I'ill be ordering one for my own remembrance from you, one of the best writers of FanStory. Dom G. Robles, 2 Encina Place, Pittsburg, CA 94565. My sincere congratulations.

Dom. I am copping that adress, and as long as my name is as it stands, the book will arrive to you in good order having gone through the hardships of publishing. :)

Your second sequel is as much or more touching than the first one. That silent yet poignant communicating with Mamma was really epitomized with grandeur and affection. A fitting farewell in all means. Thank you...

I have tears falling on the keyboard. This is why I love poetry. It is the outward proof of inward thought...This is lovely...and so beautifully written. I need a 10 for you.

A magnifiscent follow up to the first one. I like the six line stanzas. Wonderful imagery that is driven by the emotion and philosophy that weaves its way in and out of alliterative and carefully chosen word choices. Keep us posted when this is published.

The image you have portrayed leaves a person in awe of oneself and the waywardness of his actions that has led him to a plight of harshness and inadequacy in these end times.
Good mixture of metaphors and I liked the simile of: Mother, I cry like the slaughter of sheep
Charlene

*P.S. Does your friend put music together for hymns?

A wonderful treat to the mind, the eyes and ears, Roy.

A fabulous continuation of the previous poem.

A well deserved win, by the way. Congratulations.
