What a touching experience this poem read so lovingly and with gentle music to accompany. The rhymes and flow are smooth as waves during a soft wind. Just beautiful and read and expressed with great emotion. Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment.

I think my dearest wish is to see my mother once again when I die. I hope her face will be the first one I see. Your poem speaks so beautifully of this devotion I, and others, feel when losing a loved one too soon. Awesome, RG.

Well darn, I can't get the music to play, but the words of your poem, RG, are so poignant and moving. The broken man with sequined heart and its broken threads falling apart captured me from the beginning and every verse after cried out in pain and then your references to mama in the last two are so soothing and lets us know that we'll be okay and Heaven can wait. Very moving - Sorry I don't have a six for it.

Great words to touch the heart of us all. Thoughts in life as one feels deeply about memories of the past. Thinking of mother has brought me to tears many times in life. The love of a mother is beyond words. God bless you and may you have a very merry Christmas and blessed and prosperous new year.

As we grow older we contemplate death more. For some of us it is simple - we grow old, we die (hopefully not too painfully) and that's it - the end. For others it is a time of joy or doubt, depending on their level of faith.

Your portrait of a man in this state of contemplation is very evocative and rich in language. In one or two places I felt your desire to stretch the language went too far e.g. can nostrils really pine? but overall an impressive piece of philosophy.

The person pines, Steve, with water flowing through nostrils as we do when crying and pining...especially for a mother when life treats badly. It is all about interpretation, and what you are looking for within a write, if indeed anything.
If you have never pined, well, you don't want to, not a nice experience.
    Best wishes.
Thank you for your support, Steve
    Have a good Christmas.

Your poem is a fitting conclusion to part 1. I like the author notes. You are so strong in your resolve to uplift fellow writers. The picture is compelling. I enjoyed the poem b/c I knew the story. I can see the love one had for his mother and is not afraid to show it or talk about it. Excellent job.

Again, this is most impressive, my friend.
I just love your poems. You are so right -
when we're really down, there is always
someone out there to lift us up...
and I like to think I'm here for others

thank you for sharing,
Margaret
