Awesome! I knew your poetry would take one of my sixes. This is a really great poem -- maybe you could do something noteworthy with it to help with the problem of suicide. Too many uncaring people in this world.

I hope you are fine, my friend. I hope your health is going well.

Beautiful poem/story about teenage suicide. A subject that is very real to me. Life is so precious. This is a great way to alert parents, family, and friends to watch out for the signs of depression in their children. Good job!

Thanks again, Gypsy. Suicide is quickly becoming an epidemic amongst teens in our society today. We need to err on the side of caution, be nosy (if we think there could be a potential problem), and intervene on our child's behalf if we find one. It's much better to be considered by your kid as a prying parent than the alternative.

    Thanks again.

I hear you, I don't think the government should force priests to perform weddings if they don't want to. I know Unity church and episcopelian perform weddings willingly because I have attended a few. The whole ordeal is crazy to me. Marrying who you love should not be a political issue, it is unjust to make it so. In the late 60's blacks and whites were not allowed to get married and now is a well accepted event. I think that in the future we will look back and realize it should not be an issue. Well, sorry if I am passionate about this and a little annoying, my daughter is gay and it has made me realize gay people are treated unfairly. I am a big advocate for civil rights and equal rights for all. It is one of the reasons why I love America.

I don't think you're being annoying in the slightest, Gypsy. I've enjoyed our little chat on this. And when it comes to loving one's country, I too love America. When I was in the Marine Corps I would have gladly died for Her, and for the rights of others to enjoy the all the freedoms She has to offer. I still would die for Her today, if necessary.

Take care, my friend. ~Dean :)

You always manage to find he right words to use to bring to light the suffering of the not so few. In this day of bullying and cyber-bullying, kids feel here is no way out. hopefully hey will talk o someone. He poem and music you chose are very compelling.

Awesome art work, Dean as always you dazzle me with your choice of art. I loved the wording of the poem, so professional. The music was very complimentary.

When the mind feeds the soul poison and the minds listens, that is the worst horror any human being could suffer. Depression, guilt, shame is a blanket with a heaviness only faith, strength and love from others can shake off. This poem takes the reader to the ugliest scariest place within ourselves. The only one clapping here is the one sitting on his Stygian Kingdom throne of woe. Spectacular visuals, theme and author notes.

Oh, Dean, you devil! You love these scary poems but I couldn't help liking this one particularly some of your descriptions of the bony skeleton. You have superb presentation, well done, Giddy

Dean, At first I thought this was an incredibly alarming and sinister poem. Once I read to the end and arrived at your author notes, I was very pleasantly surprised. What a truly fresh and luminous way to convey a message of great import for parents. You're absolutely right - "You might also prevent them from doing something you'll both regret."! Wonderful twist, rhyming and flow. Extremely well done!

Hi Dean - apart from the spectacular display you give us here, the poem alone is so well written I think it deserves a 6. Like the use of the word 'osseous' when referring to the chin - 3 good syllables and sounds better than chin. A sad poem with a depressing end - these poems you are so good at writing. Warm regards Dorothy x

This is superbly written. Despite its dark nature you send a powerful and important message. Parents need to be parents not friends. When I was younger I was suicidal, and fortunately not successful at it. While I did come close to succeeding, I am so pleased I got through the tough times. I occasionally whine but mostly just laugh at the curve balls life still throws at me. Great work with this one and dynamite presentation too.
