Rating of Chapter 10001 - We Miss You
This is a very beautiful poem, Linda.

"it didn't take you long
waited for my teacher, to tell me what was wrong

my writing not so perfect, you helped me all you could
corrected all my silly mistakes" --Brooke was always there when we needed her help. Her care and concern were unconditional.

Love these verses:

"you took a weed
you posted on Fanstory

and through your words, made me see
a Dandelion
and all its beautiful glory"

Everything has beauty but not everyone sees it. Brooke and you do :)

I love this poem a lot, Linda. It is heartfelt and captivating.

Hi Giddy

What a beautiful presentation for your tanka. Also a lovely tribute to Brooke our friend and favourite teacher who gave so much to us all. Some enjoyable alliteration in 't' and consonance of 'n' and near rhyme of now/knowing, you/your. Your emotions are well conveyed for Brooke. We all miss her and pray for her to find happiness in her family and her life despite this difficult challenge. Hugs - Lovi xoxo PS Seems I missed a few of your postings ... Hi Quire's Gal

A beautiful tribute to our Brooke. I like your play on words with brook/Brooke. I'm not an expert on the sonnet, though I'm sure this is in correct meter and the rhyme scheme works well. You make very effective use of enjambment to keep the flow smooth and light creating lovely images in nature which Brooke will surely appreciate. Excellent use of alliteration, subtle, yet melodically which adds to the rhyme, also assonance and consonance. An excellent metaphor to relate to Brooke and who she is in life. Your closing couplet signifies she will live on in her poetry and the minds, hearts and souls of those she has touched with her kindness, teaching and wisdom, and her pure passion for poetry.
