This is a nice poem and it is written about a lady close to our hearts. Brooke is one of a kind and my thoughts are with her and her kin now. I hope she returns soon as well. Thank you for sharing.

Me Too dmt. It stands as a testament to her popularity, that her last post was in May and she is still ranked as the site's #1 poet. I'd say that she probably had run several laps around most of us. Thanks for the nice review. Rose.

This is a very nice tribute to Brooke. One she will surely appreciate. You are right she did find a lot of pleasure in life's simple things. This poem is well written and captures her tastes in flowers quite well.

Thank you for such a wonderful review, Nancy and for the amazing six stars. I will be very happy to know that Brooke keeps getting better and that she will be able to get back on to a computer soon. I wrote quite a bit in hospital on the backs of my daily menus. (Yes, even in hospital you do get some food choices) so I hope that Brooke is sitting there doing the same.
Can't wait to learn about her achievements and adventures. Rose.

I just presumed that Brook is not ok, as i was away for the past 7 months. heh kids never stay still for a moment life is exciting and sweet
love the second line about sustainable energy it brings to mind a picture of a mum chasing a child at bed time around the house and running out of energy before the child does

I love this triolet for Brooke :) That picture is so cute and perfect. Excellent iambic tetrameter with great rhymes. The repeating lines are flawless. I feel Brooke is among us when I read the many poems dedicated to her. I miss her too.

I must have missed this poem for Brooke. Glad I found it now :) I enjoyed reading your poem and reading your author notes. I miss Brooke so much that it's nice to read stories of her presence on fanstory. I found her to be a calm and encouraging teacher. I took a lot of classes with her and found her to be a wonderful friend too. You have penned nice quatrains with abcb rhymes. I can detect a singsong rhythm to your lines. I sure hope there will be an update on her condition and situation soon.

I know what you mean. I have never been able to take one of her classes yet she has ever been there for me with solid critique and suggestions to help me grow as a poet. I certainly would not have improved, as I have, without her patient help.
