Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
And my salted tears, may not heal lost years
Where endless roads breed solitude and fears
Yet surely I know, a cool breeze doth blow
A new dawn aglow as gently, I flow

Your poems go straight into my heart. They blow my brains away with so much sadness and pride at the same time that i met a writer like you, amazing Roy, and from the depth of my heart good luck with your book. You will make it son, you will. Love u no matter what. Terry mum. xoxoxo

Hey, little mum, glad you liked this, yes, a little sad but with much hope and a leaving of the past.
Best wishes, and don't waste your six stars on these older posts...that you read and enjoy is my only wish.

This is by far the best of the poetry I have had the pleasure of reviewing all week! Such imagery (I did not use audio-don't know how! lol) through your incredibly well-written words. So tender and sweet. One quite long poem that I could have easily read more of it was so captivating. Great artwork to enhance the piece, however, the poem stands on its own merits with or without artwork! Simply beautiful...truly wish I had six stars to offer this work, but have only fives and under left. God bless and hugs, Susanne

Thank you,so much, Susanne, sonice of you to go back to this one. I liked the write up concerning the 'The Blck Society' If it gives inspiration as you do, then it must be a wonderful place. By the way, the audio opens by itself, just not on kindle or Ipad Iphone, just on a normal computer with windows.

Thanks again...your sixes are well felt.
My best wishes, and welcome back.

Hi RG

Now I'm reminded how far behind I get with my absences. So pleased I came back to find this one, and see it nominated for POM - congratulations!

Life reflections beautifully expressed as only you can do it. The music and stunning image are perfect complements to your work. I read, as always, first without audial and then again, after that, when I have a handle on your well chosen phrases, only then, do I enjoy your accompanying voice and music, when I can concentrate on both. A well chosen selection for nomination. I wish you the best of luck and expect this to be a contender for highest placement. I've enjoyed your use of individual mono-rhyme in each verse. So many phrases I would highlight, but I find I can't copy and paste. "salted seas", "salted tears", "sharp shards of glass faintly mirror the past", so much more. Your use of poetic devices is superb. A pleasure to read, and to listen. Hugs - Lovi xoxo

Thanks my friend. I think the nominations help me a lot. Whatever comes after is a bonus. When nominated it shows something is right, and that reassurance plus the thumbs up from the likes of author's like you, lead the way. Thank you.
    Have a great day.

RG,

I missed this poem while we were in the process of moving. Since
that time I have visited this several times, and try as I might to
review it with a five star rating...that was not possible.

Your poem is exceptionally crafted and that is what we know you
offer us at all times. Your message is emotional, perfectly composed
with soft rhymes and a beautiful presentation both visually and
audibly. Your voice enhances the experience as well as the gentle
piano background music.

This has so much depth and I did stay awhile and smile with you,

Linda

Oh how I enjoyed this. At first I read it aloud myself, then I listened to you read it. and you read it beautifully. making it come alive

The music complements it so well. I can picture being alone in the ballet studio working with it and your words, not a pas de deux, but a pas suel.

I cannot give this anything less than what it deserves.

Thank you for sharing.

You are so welcome, I am nor sure how I missed it. It is perfectly divine, and I loved the way it sounded when you read it. Rather like my accent, but I'm told I still have my Welsh lilt at times.
Thank you again for making my evening. It was worth turning Classic FM off to listen .

Thank you for adding the striking animation and your friend's music. I admired your reflections about life and your rhymed couplets and internal rhymes, plus rhythmic quatrains. I especially liked your imagery, as in "salted seas" and "saffroned air". Cheers- Joan

Bravo, RGStar, So very much like how you verbally said each and every word of your great poem, Life, slowly. And, the beautiful music chosen adds beautifully to the presentation, which I did already appreciate from just reading it. Though, the poem became more alive along with the emphases of each word. Also, that Remarkable moving photography of a woman, who seems to fly as if a bird, or spirit that softly glides a little here and there. Well, she helped, too, with yet, again, coming up with a magnificent poem, deserving of a six, which, sorry, I presently have none.

Thanks for Sharing...Caressa_08
