This poem is very rich with vivid imaginery words. Your poem is exemplary in that you creatively use the format to write about the simple topic of memory of what fun you had at that young age. Your illustration depicts two youngsters enjoying their catch of the evening.

I really like this. There is a lovely continuance and a wistful feel to the write that works really well. A couple of nits. T'is should read 'Tis, and illusive should read elusive. I think the use of caps at the beginning of each line gets in the way of the flow. Suggested edit.

of warm nights spent chasing the elusive fireflies
now as laughter echoes across the salty air

I think it strengthens the change of thought, is all
