This heart rending Haiku had a big impact on me. Schizophrenia is a soul wrenching, hope -dashing , possible suicidal condition not to mention the legal prospective. I wish you and your son the best. Thank you

Those three short lines are very moving. The hopes we have for our children when it all boils down to just stay alive.

I went through years of dealing with an alcoholic son. So many times, I despaired, but God brought us both through it.

Your poem is heart-rending. In a good way. 8-)

Wow, oh wow, this is poignant and unforgettable! I never expected such a twist in that last line. In its brevity, this poem tells a story, yet leaves much to reader's imagination. The reader is left pondering after reading the poem. Very few poems move me as yours.

I too have a son with schizophrenia and in just 16 words, 3 short lines, you have said all I try to say in pages.
What more can you ask of a poem?
