Witchy Huneybun...lol

What a beauty! She looks like she has stars in her eyes.
I enjoyed reading your short poem in honor of your Jewel.
Perfect name for her. Super great short rhymed poem.

I owned a Large black cat for a short time...they are
very...mmm...different.

Loved this,
Linda

Hi Linda. Thank you for reviewing my poem about my Jewel. She is exactly that. A sweet kitty. It's true, though, each animal has its own personality traits--just like people. Marilyn

That is quite a striking picture with the poem almost embedded and the color contrast. Your "jewel" sounds like a bewitching pet! I enjoyed your alternating rhymes in these quatrains and the continuing Halloween theme. Smiles- Joan

A very well-written poem about your special Jewel, a black cat with some witch kind of attributes. Be aware when her tail switches. She is watching your every move.

Hi Sandra. Thank you for your review of my poem about my Jewel. She certainly is that. This is a bit tongue-in-cheek as she has me wrapped around her little paw. Marilyn

Did I detect an 'Oh, well' expression of acquiescence in Jewel's eyes? But you can tell her that I think she looked very pretty in that hat.

Excellent presentation, Marilyn! I was particularly fond of your use of color, and the photo, too. I can picture Jewel arching her back if you you read her the poem, because you painted a dark picture of her (unless, of course, you explained it was intended to be tongue in cheek).

Your one-a-day challenge is long over, but you're still going strong!

Don

Hi Don. LOL! Yes, definitely tongue-in-cheek. Jewel is a love bug! She sits on my lap as I type. Thank you for your fun review of my beautiful kitty. Marilyn

I used to have a black cat named Dutchess. She was the sweetest thing. She loved to cuddle and gave me kisses. I miss her a lot. Her brother, Obiwankanobee, hides ever since we brought the dogs into the house. When I use the computer in the basement he comes for a snuggle, but he doesn't come upstairs much anymore. I miss kitty cuddles.

Hi Joy. Thank you for reviewing my poem about my Jewel. I always keep my cats separate from the dogs. I only have Jewel right now, but have had more than one at various times. I set aside special time for the two of us so she doesn't feel neglected. Cats are very affectionate generally speaking and need us to love them up. Marilyn

Cats are the most disarming of God's creatures Marilyn, they are pure charm, they command a great deal of our affection. Nicely composed in abab rhyme, very expressive and decriptive scribing. Well done, Marilyn, blessings, Roy

Your comment is so true, Roy. Most people think that cats are aloof. That's never been my experience with them. I have dogs, too, so I keep Jewel separate from the dogs. I devote quality fun time to her and she loves it and I love her. If I may brag, she is so smart. Many times she's on my lap when I'm on-line. (She's a fine typist!) Thank you for your nice review of my poem about my Jewel. Marilyn
