So beautifully and poetically said! It is such a difficult thing when the leadership changes in a church and it's hard for people to adapt. Love the imagery you used for the mourning of the church and how you showed God's faithfulness in the transition and accepting the new pastor's leadership.

I loved this poem. It is always so difficult to step into boots you feel are too big. Especially so if they had previously been worn by someone loved and admired. I especially loved the wording in the first and last quarter. The old and the new. Thank you for sharing.

As a leader, it is the job of a congregation to support and get behind their Pastor, some reactions are for some to disappear, disappointed. But that does not please God, He honours us, He expects us to honour His anointed. Beautifully written, in immaculate language and revelation, it is most enjoyably encouraging, well done, blessings, Roy
