Great job with the interaction between Simon and Giovanni, as well as describing the moves G made on poor Ms. Flaherty. You made all three characters come to life. Very well-written.

Hi, Ellen

= Excellent installment to your story.
= I had to chuckle when I read about the donuts.
= Can't blame him--what's not to like about cream filled and chocolate covered donuts?? Actually, anything that looks and smells like a donut is a winner. (*<*)
= Enjoyed the read. Well penned.

What a great job of building on your characters and bringing out their flaws and weaknesses. Of course, I'm still a little lost with why the lawyer was so afraid that he wanted to disappear. Maybe I've just known too many of the bad guys, and that most of them are dumber than stumps. I once hung out at the races with a close friend, Dominic from Cleveland, and his New York and Jersey pals for a week. We hung out at Monmouth Park, The Meadow Lands, and Garden State Park in Cherry Hill, my favorite name for a city, and the casinos. There were nine of us at a table at the races when this loud mouthed creep kept popping off until I finally gave him an evil eye, which caused him to say, "You got something to say, fella?" I just laughed, nodded and said, "When I've got something to say, sport, you'll be the first one to know." Then, I looked at Dominic and said, "Who is this wiseguy who seems to think he's tough shit?" Dom turned snow white, blue around his mouth, and I though he was gonna pass out as he kept shaking his head no. I guess we were lucky to get out of there alive. The guy as it turned out, was John Gotti. And he is still a dip shit in my eyes. Thanks for another great chapter. :-)

You're lucky to be alive. What a true life story! John Gotti! OMG.

Hell, they've stabbed me, shot at me a few times, fractured my skull with tire tools, and I've had 27 broken bones in all . My dad said I'm just too damn mean to die. I hope he's right. One of Gotti's men asked if he wanted him to follow me that day. Gotti told him it would take four or five of them to handle me, and he wasn't sure that would even be enough. He said for them to just leave me alone, because I might come in handy some day. He told Dominic to invite me to a number of functions over the next 6 or 8 years. I never went, and was damn glad when I stopped getting invitations. Then, he murdered a close friend of my fathers, who was my real godfather. That's when he became the head of the Gambino family. Just thought you might get a kick out of the rest of the story. Wishing you the best! :-)

Very interesting and pleasing to read part. It keeps you reading without stopping as the story gets deeper. No mistakes in this mystery plot. Thank you for sharing. Blessings, Ella

Another great chapter, as usual. Your writing style is very effective. You have good use of dialog and a flow that is easy to follow. Your characters work nicely together.

Hmm, a good chapter. I wonder why he didn't just kick the guy out and when he had the chance. I guess the money was just too good. I would hate to be a lawyer, the things they must put up with.

Great chapter. I like the code word. Hope it wasn't too late.
