You did very well for your first Pleiades poem. I like the mono-rhyme in this very color descriptions of a butterfly's grace and beauty. With a little knowledge on how to draw them near.

Keep writing

Joan

This is a superb for your first Pleiades. I am unfamiliar with the form, but I love the colors of your word choice and the extended alliteration of the B's.

Also, I love butterflies, and I write about them often.

Great job, Sandra. I am glad Pantgynt encouraged you to write it.

Thank you! I'm sorry it's taken so long to get back to you, I'm having a few family health problems to help with, so I'm not coming on as much as I'd like. I'll be back soon, hopefully. Thank you for your lovely review, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

Sandra dear, you are brave to venture out into unfamiliar waters.

Clever of you to maintain the same letter at the beginning of each line and the mono-rhyme all the way through.

Trying to catch up on what I've missed. I'm only able to get on Fanstory every other week. Strict rationing of my time so I can get all my projects dealt with equally. Sigh ...

Hugs,

Sonali :) xx

Hi Sonali, thank you so much! I am in the same boat, I can't get on here much at the moment, time is moving so fast. You're a love for reviewing this one, I'd never written one of these before. I don't do it that often!! Big hugs my lovely friend. xxxx Sandra xxx

Aww Linda thank you my dear friend. Those stars are lovely. But, please don't worry about catching up, I know how hard it is, I'm so far behind myself. I don't have time to write at the moment, or do much of anything at home. I know you are struggling, just knowing you are there and I have your e-mail address too. I love butterflies, they are very spiritual too, so it only follows you would like them, being the angel you are. Biggest hugs and sooooo much love coming your way. :) Sandra xxxxxxx

Sarah is coming to see us tomorrow, before she goes for her next chemo. She is really down at the moment, so is Steve, her hubby, Graham's son. The worry and stress is telling on them both, the hospital isn't saying much to Sarah, and she is getting more and more worried every day. She wants to know what treatment she will receive after the chemo ends, but they haven't told her. Having lost her mother and father to cancer, it's such a worry to them both, let alone us on the sideliners. Not being able to help is hard, and you can never find the right words when you want them.

Ian has just received two pairs of shoes specially made for him. But he can't wear them until the wound is healed. It's taking forever! He is still in pain, the trouble is, he is allergic to so many pain-killers, that most of the time he has to put up with it. . They have told him it's because he has been a diabetic for 54 years, (since birth) that all this is happening and also why he isn't healing as he should be. He's my baby brother, and I hate seeing him like this. Well, my dear friend, I am also praying for you, I think you need as many as everyone else and you so deserve God to send an angel to look after you. Biggest ever hug, I wish I could give it in person. Take care my friend. xxxxxxxx Sandra

they will both be ok...I know what is to be allergic to the pain killers....I am allergic to them all...it's awful...Sarah will be ok...you are always in my prayers Sandra...always...love you sweet lady...wish we could meet as well...xxoo love

I enjoyed this,d ear. Much different from your usual voicing and style. This has great flow and seamless alliteration. Great rhymes too! Masterful meter! Impressive.
Love this line:
Bystanders stop and stare

Enjoyed reading aloud.

Lovely presentation too.

Nice choice to avoid punctuation.

Bravo!

Love,
rd

I think you did great. You wrote this like a pro. And it was a very enjoyable poem to read. Butterflies are very beautiful and fun to watch. I used to visit a place called butterfly world. They had all sorts of butterflies from around the world, some of them were enormous!

This is a very impressive poem and shows great master of poetic techniques. I counted the accents and they were spot on which created the easy transition in the next line. With the consonant B- you create a bold sound but the variations of the -air sound softens each verse! Masterfully penned!

Butterflies do love those bushes, and it is indeed a joy to see them fluttering about the branches. Even though you started each line with the same letter, it doesn't feel forced. Well done. :)

Thank you so much for reading my poem, Tessa. The reason for the same letter is it's the one of the requirements of the Pleiades. It is really hard to do and I don't think I'll be doing many, if any, more, LOL! They must begin every line with the first letter of the single worded title, and have exactly 6 syllables per line. I normally write Heptameter, as you know, with 14 syllables, this was quite a challenge. I'm so pleased you thought it doesn't feel forced, that was a worry. Thanks my friend. Big hugs, Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra, you did a great job on this. I love butterflies and the first line about them dancing on air. I have a butterfly bush in my yard and other plants that attract the butterflies.

I love them too, Melissa. Did you know they are messengers from our loved ones? There are so many books written about butterflies and family spirits passed over. Usually you will see one regularly near you when the weather is warm enough for them to come. That one butterfly will be for you to let you know she is close. Big hugs, my dear friend. :) Sandra xxx
