I love the artwork you choose to go with your poem
It is a perfect-match
Your words are so true and they made me smile because its to cold to be the first day of spring.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing your welcome to spring and your lovely artwork. I enjoyed your alliteration of "s's" and the bit of romance. Smiles- Joan

What a happy mood you create. The world is in flux and it could be autumn, but there is that something special in the air that says it is spring. Oh, what great days are ahead.

Hi debi. Well--that was the other day! LOL! Today it chilly and dreary. I'm hopeful that pretty soon it will be sunny and warm. Thank you for your nice review. Marilyn

Nice poem Marilyn. Good description of the onset of Spring. This is a changeable period of the year where winter has not quite let go and hangs around some days. You got is just right with your words. Well done. Regards Dorothy x

Hi Chrissy. So you are switching to autumn. That's a nice time of year, too. My favorite, though, is spring. Thank you for your review. Marilyn

.Good morning, Marilyn....

Re your poem about the first day of spring....
what a comforting thought to start off the day.

I loved your stanza....

And yet there's something in the air
that allows the stir of spring,
a tiny sprout that pushes through
or maybe it's the thought of you.

It can mean so many things, and I particularly picked the part where you say.... "a tiny sprout that pushes through"

It reminds me that life goes on, even when it seems it has ended -- but it has only been taking a nap in order for us to recuperate to again start anew and with a new perspective and understanding of life.

You are to be commended for your wonderful art that tells and shows the story in itself.

Thank you for sharing it and starting my day off with a big smile on my face.

Hugs...Nan:))

What an uplifting little poem bringing to mind the coming of spring - which we all long for -- it's been like spring here, but you wouldn't believe that today it's dark, gloomy with a gale-force wind and teaming rain - what a change!!

Most impressive, Marilyn

Margaret

I know...the trees still look like winter, but there is that freshness of spring in the air - and some greening up. Lovely little poem Marilyn. We uncovered a tulip in bloom last night when we did some raking:)

Lovely spring poem. I like how it resembles autumn, except for the swollen leaf buds soon to burst forth. I love spring right up till the weeds begin to grow. Grrrr... :)
