    Thank you, Debbie, that's so nice of you. It did feel good writing again, and when I saw the photo of this baby's face I had to put words to it. I'm glad you liked it. Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra x

I'm very sorry to hear about your family's woe, Sandra.
I think you made a wise decision, light-hearted fare, form a purely literary standpoint, was probably the best direction to take to bring you out of your doldrums.
Your cute, well rhymed poem certainly put a smile on my face, LOL.
Thanks for sharing, and hang in there.
God bless,
~Dean :}

    Thank you, Dean. It's the big, nasty C again, I have two close members of my family struggling to get through, one, my 35 year old daughter-in-law has no hope now, it's so awful. Thank you for your kind words, my friend, the baby's face in this picture was the nudge I needed to start again. God bless you, my friend. Sandra x

We do wonder what this baby is thinking.
So
Happy to see you writing again. You have been missed. Sorry for your family sadness. Illness can be a real drain on our emotions.
I enjoyed this delightful poem.

Well done.

    Thank you so much, Janet. Your words are gratefully received. I've missed being here but couldn't find words to write or feel, this was a good way to start. I'm really pleased you enjoyed it. The photo is amazing, isn't it? :) Sandra xx

it is so wonderful to read your writing again.
The picture is adorable.
I can just imagine what he is thinking.
Great imagery here. Superb rhymes.
"Did you get close enough to sniff
this yucky stuff? it's got a whiff
of sick and poo mixed up in one;
Would you put this upon your tongue?"
Simply terrific!

In my opinion, good show and start! Keep it up - it's really fun and clever, not at all silly, when you consider it from the baby's point of view. They're a lot smarter that we give them credit for, believe me I know. My daughter's first words to me at 9 months were in a sentence, in response to my what I thought was a one-sided conversation. I remember them clearly, "really, mommy, really?" So, we have to realize, this is probably EXACTLY what this baby was thinking...

    My mother told me I started talking early ... and never stopped! LOL, bless her. Thank you so much for your kind words, I will continue to write now that I've made a start again. :) Sandra xxx

    You are very welcome, Sandra, and thank you for sharing such a charming write - I also spoke early. According to my mother, I began my first month after birth - I do believe,however, she was exaggerating a bit...Eve

This was so funny Sandra and brought back memories for me, some of the faces children pull when they eat something they don't like is hilarious and you have captured this wonderfully well with your clever words.
Have a lovely evening
