LOL! Cute poem for a cute picture. I love it, and luckily I still have one six left. This baby has earned it. By the way, tell her I had a big bowl of ice cream after lunch. I get it every day. She should come live here. :)

I love ice cream and melted chocolate poured over it, my two favourites in one bowl. Now I'm dribbling! Thank you so much, my dear friend, for the lovely 6 stars! That picture is really cute, isn't it? LOL, big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Glad you are writing again because this one is a keeper. It made me smile. My baby was picky about her food, too. She's 4 and she still is. I hope your sadness turns to gladness really soon.

Some of the expressions I saw in the baby pictures were hilarious and begged a poem. I needed something like that to get me going again, I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. And thank you for your kind thoughts, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

haha Sandra. I enjoyed your poem. It is light hearted & fun. Good job on the rhyme & flow.

I have missed your work. So sorry to hear of your family. I know you have been dealing with some major health related issues with several members.

Nice to have you back. Jan

Thank you so much, my Jan, I'm glad you liked it. Yes, it's been hard, and I think it's going to get worse, but we hope and pray. Thank you for those kind words, my friend. It's nice to be back and I'm going to try to keep it up. :) Sandra xx

I love it! Having looked after my one year old grandson for 6 weeks, I soon gave up on mum's insistance of bland baby food. The wee guy ate what he wanted, so Granny was in his good books. You certainly nailed the whole experience here, Sandra!

LOL!! I enjoyed reading your silly poem. When my boys were babies I made their food from what we ate. I guess in today's world that isn't okay. OH well, they were healthy and still are.

Yes, I did the same, all home-made and so much easier, and cheaper. Thanks, Barbara, I'm glad you enjoyed it. :) Sandra xx

I was so glad to see your name in my message box.

This is such a cute poem, and it's exactly what I thought about baby food. So, I never fed it to mine.

I'm sorry you've had such sadness. If you need to vent, you have my email. I'll be praying for you, dear friend.

Bless you, my dear Yvonne, it's been quite a while but I hope to be writing again properly soon. I have notes ready for Mildred and Veronica, but that's all they are, they need some heavy sorting. I'm really pleased you liked my silly little poem, I thought that photo was hilarious, and it really put those words in my head. Thanks, my friend. :) Sandra xx

It was just what I needed to read today. It gave me a chuckle. Anxiously waiting on Mildred and Veronica. I love Mildred, especially.

Well bless your heart you are trying. I can't seem to write much either, but have revived a few as I look through my
portfolio. You certainly mirrored what that sweet baby was thinking. LOL That expression made me chuckle. Well done dear. We write to escape Sandra. Let your mind do the walking and your fingers do the talking and escape my friend! Escape! Love Nancy

I've really felt miserable, teary, the lot. I'll send you an e-mail. I saw that picture and thought it was superb, and just what I needed to get the brain in gear again. I'm so pleased you liked it, my dear friend. Escape! Now that sounds just what I need. lol, thanks, my wonderful friend. Big hugs, Sandra xsx

A very well-written poem to break the ice after a long silence. The face of the baby says it all. She has been given something to eat that she doesn't approve. .

You are right about 'breaking the ice', it's not easy coming back after staying away for a while. But, I'm glad I am and thank you, Sandra. That photo is a classic, isn't it? :) Sandra xxx

Sometimes silly is the best medicine, Sandra.
Even better than ice cream . . . well, that may be going too far.
My mother fed me gunky icky goo, too. I called it glop.
Sad to say, as I got older her culinary talents didn't improve.
She went from glop to gloop. O, what a difference!

I hope the worst has passed, my friend.

Peace, Lee

Something silly worked for me, really enjoyed your fun poem. The 'I don't think so' between stanzas work well. The rhyming scheme works well and makes your poem scan well. Enjoyed. MaggieF
