Quite an army (of rats) you conquered in this well written story. Fifteen of them in all.

Story is well told and throws in a touch of humor along the way for good measure.

Should make an interesting entry into this contest.

A very well-written story. They can become a unwanted army in the house. We have trouble with them in the roof. It sounds like racing horses running up and down overhead at times.

In the roof? What kind of roof do you have? Thanks for the review:)

reply by Sandra du Plessis on 28-Aug-2017
Just a ceiling between the tile roof and the rooms.

Oh yes. They used to get in our walls and we could hear them - yuck.

ARE YOU SERIOUS???!!

I would have moved. hahahaha! I despise those little creatures! (Though, I admit, I hate snakes even worse...) This was a super true story and a fun one. Thanks and good luck!

Hello,
The poor mice! Maybe you could have caught them and put them way outside? One time my cat hunted in my apartment and caught a baby mouse. I struggled with it and finally got it out of my cat's jowls. She didn't want to give it up. Now, I know they are natural hunters. It wasn't that -- the lady above me had arsenic put down behind her stove -- I didn't want that poison inside my cat. (I put the baby mouse outside for the feral cats; hope it wasn't poisonous!)
Hey, TC, I'm not a member right now for another month but I'll still review prose -- not poetry so much unless it's spooky. :P

I love animals, but it's ideal if the outside animals stay outside and not inside. One mouse is one thing, but a bunch of mice must be pretty scary. Good job and I wish you much luck in the contest. Marilyn

The story you wrote about the mice was very interesting. I could just feel a mouse jumping on me. I know if that really happened I would have probably fainted. Just thinking of them bothers me.

Very interesting to read
We feel for the mouse
I guess as well but
they can't roam around the house
for health reasons and they could harm someone.
They get into the food and that's not good, they carry germs.

Hi there,

Nothing like a pest or vermin invasion to spoil a nice evening. My mum has this problem at the moment... nasty little buggers peeing over everything. Urgh.

Well written little piece.
All the best
G
