Well for what ever reason welcome back to the family we missed you as we all say we do what we can with what we have. I have to do reviews to keep my writing going on my small pitence and reviewers sometimes just don't understand we don't have the riches others do. Wining a Hundred dollars would be nice once in a while to boost our funds to help us along the way.

If I ever won 100 bucks it would be used to put food on the table and gas in the car. It's the most unreliable part of my retirement income. Thank you for reading this, BJ, and for your understanding of the problems here.

I am sorry to report that I missed this writing but now that I know, I will watch for it. It seems to be very cute. I like stuff that makes me smile.

The flow was good. The theme was excellent! Thoughts are expressed and described well. The words you chose worked nicely. The theme was well chosen.

There was no SPAG, no typos, no room for improvement.

Hey, Camille, Glad you found it. Unfortunately, you won't find the posts it refers to as easily (The Critter series). Tom is convinced I posted yesterday's chapter within the last two years, and despite my denying it he won't allow the REVIVE certificate, so none of my fans will be notified

An interesting take on your creative process and the value market research. I am one of those (very) new FanStory members. If this series is as good as I hear I may just have to catch up on it.

That said, /this/ piece isn't that impressive. It's almost an advertisement. So I can't give /this/ a high score. I look forward to reading your fiction.

It IS an advertisement for the Critter Series in the sense that I needed to notify fans of its re-posting because it was likely not to get the necessary certificate that would assure my fans would be individually notified.

If your like me, numbers don't mean a thing, I write my stories. That's what I pay my 6.95 a month for. I should probably care a little bit about it, you know, being professional and all. But I do this because I love to do it. There's my little rant. Keep 'em coming!

Well, you're writing for the right reasons, Mike. I commend you for that. If you understand how the numbers work, though (and I have over ten years, here, crunching them), it's an undeniable fact that the higher you are in the charts, especially if you are on the first page, the more readership you'll have for your posts. And unless your writing is perfect, you should love and honor the feedback you get. It makes you a better writer.

At least it's this critter's opinion.

Not sure what you are on about but as an apparent Jiltee (I think) I am forced to admit to being guilty of not feeling a thing. Obviously our time was over and you felt the need to move on; in a Yo-yo sort of way , as you're back. A reciprocating motion perhaps or just the kind of motion that floats when you try and flush it away.
I haven't read your previous blurbs and not sure where to find them, as a newbie, but will dig around.

Thank you Bob for your candid words. As I employ humor in my posts, The "jilted lover" was intended as an extended metaphor (perhaps ill-gotten), which is why I compared the "jilted lover", reading old love letters and eating ice cream, with my reading the "reviews" from the three chapters of the "Critter Series" I had already posted ... while downing ice cream.

I'm not Yo-yo-ing back to FanStory. I told my fans from day one that I would be away for a month, possibly longer.

And here I am. Thanks for taking the time to respond so honestly to my post.

Thank you, Jay, for announcing that you will resume reposting your Critter series. I found them very informative the first time around. As I have found from experience, as you have said, reposting attracts a new audience of readers while offering to people who missed it the first time around an opportunity to read it. I agree with you--I can't afford to spend real money on Member Dollars, so you do the best you can by making this highly posted announcement to attract readers to your posts "in the shallows of page 16--the swamp land that Trump boasted he will drain." It is a great series and I am thrilled it is attracting a new generation of readers.
