Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
I watched Happy Death Day on Thursday night. I was frightened to take my daily exercise around the neighbor that Friday. Lolz. Idk anyone that truly likes any Friday the 13ths. The wives-tales and folklores are many. Cute work.

Hi Alicia. Thank you so much for your wonderful review and fabulous rating. I admire you for walking around your neighborhood. As soon as doc says my foot is okay to start walking again, I'll do the same. Marilyn

Hi, Marilyn;
A cute little poem to tell of the superstitions held by some. I think the days of all of that might have gone to the past. I didn't hear any horror stories on the mornings' news, and there weren't any programs on TV.

Wow,

I think I almost missed that,

~patty~

Friday the 13th ... some consider it back luck. Some consider it lucky. I like how you tie this date in with witchery and the month of Halloween, Marilyn.

"Mirrors hang in windows" to reflect evil back to the sender. I did not know that. My son brought an ugly little witchy looking figure back with him from Germany a few years ago. He said it was reputed to keep all evil away from a home if you placed it in the window of your home. Sort of along the same lines as the mirrors, I'm thinking. :)

Fun and informative! ~~ Connie

Hi Connie. Thank you for your review. I DO think your son's witchy figure is along the same lines as the mirrors. Best not to wish evil on anybody. Karma takes note of that and sooner or later we will have to pay the piper. Marilyn

Good job Marilyn. It was short and to the point and rather delightful to read, you are correct about mirrors reflecting evil back to the sender but don't waste your garlic unless you are worried about vampires lol, it doesn't work for witches. It was so enjoyable. Thanks.

I think I've dealt with all the evil in my life when I had my cheating, abusive first husband legally removed from the house.

Loved this little short, sharp poem - you never disappoint, Marilyn.

Hi Marilyn, well done! You took advantage of it actually being Friday the 13th. A well written poem for Halloween. I have never heard about the mirror thing. I learn something new every day LOL. Warm regards Dorothy x

Hi Dorothy. Cute trick isn't it? Send it right back to the evil eye people. Yes, I had to write a poem for Friday the 13th. Thank you for your review. Marilyn

Cute poem.
I didn't know about the mirrors and I didn't even notice it was Friday 13 yesterday. In Spain the unlucky day is Tuesday 13. ;)
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Maria. I guess 13 is supposed to be an unlucky number no matter when it occurs. Thank you for your review. Marilyn

Yes the day came and went without any hiccups for me, but it stopped me from going to the shops! I left the trip until today, just in case! Your poem is appropriate for Halloween too! Hope you have the garlic ready for the 31st Marilyn? Love Dolly x

I like the idea of hanging mirrors in windows... sure would surprise peeping Toms. Garlic is well known for warding off evil spirits... and colds. Maybe colds are caused by evil spirits and the witch doctors were right all along. :)
