This is a well worded love poem, passionate when missing our special person. Going away is a wonderful respite for a few days, but things are even better when we're back together again. Marilyn

This work has reached the exceptional level
This love poem exemplifies writing from your heart :-)
I suspect most readers can relate to the feelings expressed
on some level (from short term separations to the longer kind
work often imposes these days).

A year and some has gone by - I hope you still feel the same. . .
better yet, I hope you have not had to endure such emotional
discomfit again! Life is too short to lose precious moments
with the ones we love.

    Indeed, I still feel the same and always will:) This year, Rebecca was gone for 4 days on a trip with her Mom so we were apart again:(

A very well-written love poem. Sometimes life circumstances take us away from our loved ones for a while, but we always go back and we miss them while apart.

Yes distance can affect us
all when we are away from
our loved one and yearn
to be back home again.
The words written are so true
When we are away we miss
the ones we love so much.

It's often said that "absence makes the heart grow fonder." However, I wonder sometimes how true that quote truly is at times.
Being away from the one you love more than life itself can be torturous too.
