A nice combination of Nonet and Halloween. Well done.
Easy to read and tells a story.
Good luck in the contest.

Hello BeasPeas
so the gal in the photo with Bella Lugosi as Dracula got tired of wearing Frankie Stein's sexy boots, instead of reading Poe's poem (Raven) she decided to get a thrill and wait for Drac ( Dracula)
Drac to fly into her boudoir
sampling her neck's nape,
to taste the juice from
from the her juicy grape

I like your playing with these words----
sampling neck's nape,
vampire's grape.

Gert

Clever and creative poem. Absolutely loved the presentation. Great humor and it's awesome how you told a complete story in this brief form. Thank you for sharing your work.

Ah, the good old days when scary movies were wonderful!! I love your nonet. She traded Frankie for the Drac. Fickle little victim, ha ha. Loved this Miss Marilyn, blessings...

Hi Judy. LOL! and can you blame her? Drac is so much more romantic than the big oaf. I think Drac's more trouble, though. Thank you for your great review and comments. Marilyn

Hi Roy. Thank you for your nice review. Those old movies when we were kids were the scariest weren't they? Best part is no special effects--just good acting (hokey sometimes, but fun) and good makeup. Marilyn

So very clever...particularly enjoyed the "vampire's grape" -- a great synecdoche. (I just looked up that word from veguely remembering it from a hundred years ago, and this is such a perfect example.) Good luck with the committee's vote!

Hi Rose. Thank you for your great review and comments as well as putting a name to that grammar device. I wasn't familiar with the term, so looked it up. Super word, "synecdoche." Marilyn

You are so creative. All the monsters in one poem. I loved watching the old Frankenstein movies, and always felt a little sorry for the monster.

Cute title.

Hi Yvonne. Thank you for your great review. I think Frankenstein is the most sympathetic and endearing monster. That being said--the old time monster movies were plenty scary at the time. No special effects except grimacing faces and lots of make-up. Marilyn
