Hi Dawn, I loved this story, and I wished I had a six for you. You've covered a lot in this Christmas tale, which has a great morale, and which also covers some very contentious material. Even today. I'm talking Ireland here. All the best. Ulla:)))

A merry and blessed Christmas to you, Dawn. Very interesting story and quite emotive. I loved the significance of the tin star. I hope you are well and you and your little pussycats have a lovely Christmas. Giddy :-)

Truly enjoyed your story about the tin star. Great job of keeping the reader interested from beginning to end. A very caring story about memories of a loved one.

So sorry to be so late replying - technical issues! Thank you very much, and Merry Christmas, George. (How's the new medicine working? How are you feeling, dear friend?)

reply by GWinterwin on 18-Dec-2017
That's ok Dawn, good to hear from you. The new medicine is working well, I feel good. Wishing you a Merry and blessed Christmas. God bless my friend.

reply by the author on 19-Dec-2017
Oh, I am so glad! We will keep you in our prayers. (Yes, I asked my church members to pray for you, dear friend.)

Thank you soooooo very much. God bless you Dawn, I am doing good, I had chemo today and will have it tomorrow. I have it two days per week for three weeks and then a week of. God has heard the prayers of the righteous and is answering ever day. You are beautiful to God and to me for your faithfulness and never ending love. God bless always.

Well, once again the system is playing jokes with me - I answered this already, but when I saved, it told me I was not logged on. (and now it won't save... I will keep trying...)

Thank you for saying such wonderful things to me, George. I'm so glad your chemo is working and you're not suffering side effects! God is good!
Blessings to you, dear man. Big hugs, Dawn

This story is excellently done in every way. You presented a question at the beginning that we wanted answered and you did that as the whole story came out. Excellent moral, excellent interaction and a great ending

I love the story Dawn, the simplicity of Christmas through the eyes of a child set against a story of love that endured through the years.

I do have to say that I know this is fiction but perhaps you might consider that fact that Catholics always were and still are in the majority here. Just a suggestion

hugs

Freda

Huh - well, that surprises me because I told my first reviewer I hadn't researched (because I normally do - MUCH more thoroughly) but in fact, I did a little, and that is NOT what I read on several sites. Thank you! It's a small enough change, and I'll simply omit that part I guess. LOL.
    Thanks very much, Freda. XX

No problem Dawn in Northern Ireland which was taken over my the British over 800 years ago Protestants were in the majority, but that was in only six out of 32 counties

    hugs

Made the change! The family is now Protestant. Thanks again, Luv!!! :))

That's a lovely story Dawn with so much wisdom in it. So many wars in Gods name and they all worshiped the same God. When will they ever learn. It is good to have family traditions and treasures to pass on. Well done. Good luck in the contest. Nancy

And amirable story and entertaining.

GIt really was a well written and engaging story. I took away a lot in theis story about the history of the Catholics and Protestants in Ireland. I think mos people have heard about the violence especiall the religious ones between the North and the Republic.

Well done.
