I love it. You took many things and placed them alongside with the beauty of aging. You are a romantic and it shows in your lovely, creative words. Aging should be just as you wrote of it, not to be feared, but to be grasped and held warmly to our souls.
Very impressive. :)

    Wendy. Thank you so much. Yes, you are right, I am such. just romantic at heart, in fact, in most things I do, even those not thought possible to be romantic in, ha,ha. Thank you so much. I appreciate your view of the poem...just a little write, but perhaps the little things are always worth the most.

    Thank you for the six stars.
    My best wishes.

What a beautiful and touching work with a subject that holds true to so many hearts now, or it will as the years go by. Thank you for sharing this moving poem that I took time to read more than once with afternoon coffee. Take care.

In my opinion, a beautifully articulate representation of aging at its best, in smooth and easy rhyme and casual meter - stunning in construction and presentation...

    This, for me, is a special six, because I know you don't give them easily, and because, despite different angles sometimes, I value your word, both in write and review. A strong author.
    Hope to read something from you soon.
    Thank you for the six stars. Thank you for the super feedback for this write.

    My best wishes.

    You are very welcome, Roy - I didn't like this work - I LOVED it - thank you for honoring us aged ones...Eve

    You are welcomed Eve. Older is for all of us, it is just that many do not realize it until too late.
    Best wishes, and thank you.

Is not the sunset saved for last? You have a beautiful way of putting things. I loved this image of the caterpillar transformed into a butterfly. Therein is the hope: the physical, grey, dimmed, fading away; becomes the spiritual, new, hopeful, free. I loved the opening. Abalone orange. So why imbue to colors grey? I love the convoluted, musical language you always harmonize in. and that baritone voice! You are a performance poet, my friend. estory

    Thank you estory, a lovely review. I smiled with admiration for these words as I have come to know your summing up with the word convoluted

"All in its time;
new as old...
nature refined.
The sinking of the sun
in waltz with the waking of the dawn;
a concerto ensemble...a beauty of mind;
by grace, entwined."
As now, when joyful her eyes; purpose defined.
...she smiles
...Older. '
Achingly beautiful. I loved it. Definately six-worthy well done love and regards Meia x

The elderly are often forgotten. I like they way you used analogies to convey your message about it. Beautiful imagery throughout.

Such a wonderful poem. To be old has his beauty. signed by wrinkles of the past of good and bad times, the experiences of life. Look in the eyes and you find beauty and wisdom. Very well written, gives a wonderful impression of getting older. Fia

I love that picture :) It's a fun moment captured in an image for great memories. I love how you make the roses between stanzas. --------<@ They're your signature piece. I love your message too, but the words are beyond my small brains capabilities. For me, I needed to re-read your ooem to get the full flavor. I get it now. I'm feeling older these days. I feel trapped in an old persons body. Woe is me...

    Yes, older finds us all, so why not find us waiting and embracing the good points as well the unsavoury, for we will all go the same way.

    My best to you.

This has a marvelous opening line that positions us in preparation for the rest of the poem, that provides the answer. True, there are are other ersions of the question, but effectivelt the question remains the same whatever metaphor is called upon.
