Funny stuff, my friend. I love your sense of humor and humility mixed with, I don't know, pride maybe? In a good way.
I am behind on reading, and lots of other stuff. I had to have my parents put in Assisted Living, and my Dad is on 24 watch as his systems shut down from cancer. I'm on here as a diversion.
I'll catch up on the reading soon.

Oh, Rhonda, I'm so sorry about your dad. It's so hard to see a parent be less than the strength he was when we were kids. I'm glad you had a chance to read this, and that it gave you some diversion. Hang in there.

He passed away Saturday evening. My mother isn't handling it well, as she's not in the best of shape, either. As we say in Texas, "Bless her heart". Bless yours, too.

| You are very determined in your poetry, I notice. Good on you. I couldn't read out loud in front of other people, I would be too nervous, and I think you have to read with feeling and conviction, not my strong suits, I'm a more silent reader type of person, but I admire what you go through to get your poetry out there, and I like your bio. I hope the salesman, optimist, and dreamer continue to reside with you. Ana.

| I've been to a couple of open mic readings, I don't think I'm good at them, one must be a vibrant, confident speaker, (I'm OK, but not a natural public speaker) or read bawdy bush ballads. There's no way I old read anything I've written in front of strangers! Well, maybe after a couple of Long Island Ice Teas I might. I enjoyed your story and progression from anticipation to sleeplessness. Just one thing...you mention your jacket was draped on the back of your sear, and then shortly after, you were taking off your jacket. I look forward to your next Sticky Notes.

Well, you stinker. It did happen that way. I had my jacket there to reserve my table, put it on when I came back, but when she closed the door and the heat closed in around me, I took it off again. I think I needed to say I put my jacket back on when I returned from my selling exploits. But you were right in the seeming inconsistency of it. I have no sixes or this would have received. You are a born writer, and even more so when irony and humor work together.
Some are born with it. You are.

Just to let you know that my new work will be released in about an hour's time. I am telling you this as you are one of my fans and it will not appear in your mailbox again as it was released early by the system, unfinished, and was deleted, and will not show released again in your mailbox, but you can now read it, if you are interested to do so, and it suits your ear... with curtesy, not for the sake of stars, just the option of knowing it is available, than not knowing.
