Limericks are my cup of tea. I had a good laugh with this one. The rhyme between "green" and "gin" is a bit of a stretch, but it didn't detract from the fun in the writing. Nice work. Be well.

Thank you for the great review. I guess, Coleen was too inebriated
after her Tonic and gin, and her rhymes went down accordingly (lol).

It's the best limerick I have read today. I read a bunch for the contest, too bad you didn't enter, you would have won. But I get it. I only enter site contest. Contest can be a waste of FS money.

With perfect meter and very good rhymes
and, of course, the green theme and red hair.

I enjoy reading limericks when they are well written, as this one is, with a fifth lines that makes the entire piece humorous. Your chosen artwork pairs so perfectly that when you read the limerick, you envision the smiling girl in the picture. Well done.

So many limericks appearing these days! Dolly's doing a run of them and then I've seen lots of others, too. I have to wonder if, like in this case, they are mostly inspired by St.Paddy's day. Curious!

The only thing here is that in the US - 'Coleen' and 'green' rhyme beautifully. 'Gin' does not. hahaha

Thanks, Robin! Yes, there is a round of limericks going on, including two Limerick contests.

Regarding your comment on the last line, what can I say? She was sober in the beginning, so two lines rhymed well, but after too much gin and tonic it all went haywire (lol). The best she could do is slant rhyme.
