Hi Sandra,
I know you're devoting most of your time to novels now, but I keep on the lookout for a poem. If there's anything that I missed while I was away that you'd like me to read, just PM me a link. That would be easier than digging around your portfolio.

Needless to say (but I'll say it anyway, haha) your meter was perfection personified, your rhymes well chosen and the message so important.

Again, I congratulate you on all your hard work! I'm not reading novels, just poems and short prose. If I over extend myself, I'll get frustrated and disappear again. And I REALLY want to enjoy my time on Fan Story.
Hugs, Lou

I'm just pleased you found this one, Lou. Thank you so much for this lovely review. I'm going to start writing some poetry again soon, I'm on the last book in the trilogy and hope to finish it before Easter and then that will be it for a while in the novel line. I'm thinking short stories and poetry after that. I'm glad you enjoyed this one, poetry is a way of getting the word out about anything as well as being an enjoyable pastime. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I'm so pleased you liked this one, Linda, thank you so much, my dear friend. Love you lots. xxxx

I'm struggling at the moment, Ian is in intensive care now, plugged into a dialysis because his kidneys are not doing the job they are supposed to. The result being his body was poisoning itself. He had a heart attack, that was the reason for his collapse. Everything is going wrong. He has no idea where he is, what day it is, even the year. He thinks its 2010. I don't know what will happen next. All I can say is, the doctors and nurses around him now are wonderful. They say they are just taking one day at a time. I'll let you know how he goes on. He is a fighter, and won't give in easily. Big hugs, my friend. xxxx

This is a wonderful poem that spotlights what we try to accomplish when we apply our creativity, which can be in any form; but specifically here as applied to the written message. Much luck in the contest with this fine entry. Marilyn

A deliciously rhymed poem giving nod to those who write....who lay a history of the past and present and on occasion predict the future....I am impressed with your skill in making this read smooth as silk...

If only I was a better, poetic writer I could tell you how much this moved me. I felt so connected to your words. It flowed and moved me.

Beautiful, just beautiful.

A very well-written poem about words and the beginning of everything. Without the Word nothing would be created and nothing would exist and we have to realize how powerful our words are.

HI, Very much to my liking and bravo of course. What else can I say if you are already a top writer, among the few and often by your name there are ribbons that applaud and stare at you with a smile. Excellent.

This poem, In the Beginning, using iambic tetrameter and an AABB rhyme scheme, allows that writing is a gift that MUST be encouraged and practiced to present the human experience as best can be done.
