Simple true and to the point. I like that! We are having a lot of bad weather across the country this year., it kind of reflects what people are feeling. I wish you the best of luck in the contest..

Wow! Those rains really can ruin a person's livelihood.
Trouncing - great verb choice. Nice use of alliteration in line two. Assonance with late and rains, farmer's and market. you always do well in contests. Good luck again.

You caught my attention with your intriguing title and ominous artwork selection. Your satori line adds a bit of social commentary, and you still managed to include alliteration. Cheers and best wishes in the contest- Joan

Hello, this is a lovely Haiku for the competition and best of luck with your well-written entry. I think the words are very telling of a farmers lot. My grandfather was a farmer and we grew up on the land, it was a great life, but this poem is so true, they are at the mercy of the weather.

Nothing to fix and thanks for sharing your poetry, Ana.

Rain would be a very welcome change here, not seen much of it lately. Your poem is atmospheric and I wish you luck with the contest, I liked the dull dark setting, love Dolly x

No one has more faith than a farmer. A farmer tills the soil, plants his seed and has faith the God will send just enough rain and sun to produce a crop. Such faith year after year.

Yes writer this report is one that the farmers all over the country would dread to hear and you did a wonderful job with that Haiku format that you were given. That
picture so well accomodates this poem. Great job!

A very well-written poem. Untimely rain when the crop is ready for the harvest can ruin the crop and there will be a sad market day for the farmer when his crop is ruined by rain.
