To Diana,

Like this, but is there another word for "like,"
because heartfelt emotions cannot be transposed into words
that you like or dislike.

In your poem the reader is taken to another place,
a place of poignancy, a place of deep reflection.

We feel for Bonnie and for you.
As best we can.

from Richard.

This is so touching. I like the introduction by seeing image on your computer screen. What a sweet feeling that you wish you could have taken her pain. You have known so much personal loss in your life. It's a wonderful expression about being glad for the time you had together. I think that was an excellent way of showing your reaction to her diagnosis--coloring your hair as if in spite. An excellent read with well chosen words to show the emotion you felt. judi

This is a sad poem and I am sorry for your loss. I like you blue hair as it suits you. Her pink hair suits her too and both of you look happy. I can see she cared for you as much as you cared for her. Thank you for sharing.

I drop my mouse

Why on earth were you holding a mouse? Were you conducting lab experiments on the poor little guy? Did I mention that I love your poem?

Thank you for sharing your tribute to Bonnie and the eloquent picture of the two of you. I admired your ability to communicate the loss and the repeating line for emphasis. Your "rain" metaphor was very powerful. Warm regards- Joan

Sorry I ran out of stars, but this certainly deserved a 6! Brought forward many emotions and memories. I love the way you wrote this. I have often been to CA and lived in SF for a while. My son (DJ Harvey) lives in Venice Beach and I loved it there. You are an interesting writer and hit the spot with this beautiful piece. Thank you.

Beautiful, poignant poem commemorating Bonnie. It sounds like she is free from pain now - and I'm sorry you are still experiencing grief and loss. Such a lovely piece borne from your suffering. Thank you for being brave enough to share it with us.

beautiful Diana, so full of reverence for this thing called death, yet a little playful with the parts it cannot reach. I felt the same with my Dad, especially " I cry for my loss; but, celebrate your release" powerful. I think maybe, your hair will always have a little hint of blue...............meeshu
