I've felt the loss of departing friends, who seemed contentment to make their final journey, all afflicted with that wasting affliction, the images of association never vanish, but like a photo album can be recalled and opened again, well done, beautifully written, I like the refrain like repetitive last line. Well done, blessings, Roy

How tragic, and how wonderful. That she left so soon, and that, because of your memories, she'll always live. I also love the picture!!
Blessings...

This work has reached the exceptional level
A stunning and emotionally powerful poem... I hear the tender and abiding love and respect in your words, and feel the depth of your loss and pain that capture the essence and beauty of what it is to love eternally... through the good, bad, indifferent, joy and pain, that will forever be etched on your heart and mind... I can tell by looking at her, despite her illness and pain, that she was so full of life and verve... I sense that she had a bright and bold spirit, that was fearless... friendships such as these are hard to find - an irreplaceable miracle... My favorite line, which is most revealing to me is "...I cry for my loss;
but, celebrate your release.
Those selfish sensations pass quick..." 'cry for her loss but celebrate your release'... the epitome of what it means to love someone enough to release them for their betterment... Exceptional! Great job Diana... :) I love it!

Your words bring me warmth and bring me joy I love that you looked fully at her picture... it is lovely that you saw her eyes... you can see her heart inside her tortured, painful soul that will leave this world too soon. This review opens my heart and releases my m y soul. It is hard to release unselfishly because we no longer have their sweet love of friendship and even more presence. What an exceptional review I have witnessed! I'm honored!!!! Yours, Diana!

This made me cry. My cousin is in hospice with cervical cancer...oh I cry for her,,,for I am 10000 miles away. But she is never far from my thoughts...I love your poem because I'm living it
Hugs dear Diana. God bless and comfort

That was a sweet tribute to your friend, Diane. As much as it made me sad, it also made me think of my own losses and the joyful times we've had along the way. Nice!

Take care,
Russell

Aw that's so sad, diana. Hugs to you. What a beautiful poem letting your reader know how running across the photograph on your desktop made you feel. The last photo has its rightful place in all posterity.

It's a beautiful poem and photo despite the sorrow.

Hey Gloria... to me the sorrow is such a strong, human place to begin to understand our life and know our place in this world... It allows us to understand ourselves so much better... Beautiful review. yours, diana

What a heartwarming poetic tribute to your friend, Bonnie. You're repeated refrain was awesome. I love the emotions that permeated this well crafted and rhymed piece. I found no errors and just want to say, your friend was definitely well loved and you are so very brave to spray your hair blue, LOL. This was a beautiful write with a heartwarming message. Friends to the end! Love it.

Touching piece of work that conveys the emotion one sometimes experiences after the passing of one lived. The blue hair repeat fly mentioned made me feel a bit blue and sympathetic/empathic. Sorry for the sorrow.

Well, now that is a wonderfully, heartwarming tear-jerker!!! :) I could almost hear the violin and the quiet oboe playing in the background...have to pluck the strings on 'first time my hair was blue'...every time....just much slower on the final run. :) :)

Thank you for sharing that wonderful piece of you and your delightful friend whose life shines outward through her eyes!! :) :) Yvette

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend who obviously meant a lot to you, but you honoured so beautifully in your poem. The title drew me in because its quite abstract so you're not sure what the poem will be about which then makes you want to read it to find out, and then to find such a stunning tribute to a friend with such emotion and honesty was lovely. Your hair and Bonnie's look awesome! It's such a shame that life can be so cruel sometimes. Keep writing for her. X
