Perfect ending for this entertaining tale, hw. I loved the women took control of the Justice given to the slimeball. I'm sure he'd rather feel the finality of the noose than the gleeful punishment given by the three ladies. Poor CB. His pain and suffering will give the ladies reason to whoop it up daily. Exceptional story, hw.
Smiles,
Indy :-)

Thank you, Indy. It's always fun to put a little twist on justice. This is kind of an early version of the #MeToo movement.
And, as always, a good opportunity to play with dialogue. I like Jessup's style. And CB made for an entertaining villain, too.
Thanks again, Indy. Glad you enjoyed. Peace, Lee

Well, ill be darned. This is indeed a very colorful story. The imagery and comparisons are spot on as well as creatively intriguing. I've enjoyed from beginning to end. The setting illicits a good picture of the western frontier. Good job, enjoyed reading.

Ain't revenge grand? There's nothing like joining forced against a mutual tyrant.
The ladies had had enough and it was CB's turn to cater to them.

I still think they should have hanged him. haha

Thank you, Ellen. Jessup dreamed of revenge, but Maelene dreamed it up. I think CB might have preferred the hanging. Thanks again. Peace, Lee

Hi, Lee,

A great ending to a good tale. Poor old CB. I'm reasonably sure his wife, Edwina, had much more to say in private. I like the idea of Brenda moving in with the existing family.

Thank you for sharing this well-told tale,

~Mustang Patty~

Thank you, Patty. I'm certain the women worked this one out on their own. A bit of comeuppance for old CB. Thanks again. Glad you enjoyed. Peace, Lee

Good morning, Lee

Enjoyed the post. As I've come to expect the dialogue was believable as were the character interactions. The flow was spot on. The images and scenes were spot. Loved the on. CB's fate was justice served. Loved the philosophical debate between CB and Jessup.

Tongue was a place best kept between pursed lips. loved the play on words.

Maelene stank pretty as a watermelon.
Charles Bigham Hoyt smelled pretty as sun-dried cat puke -- loved the images

Just when he thought he knew the color of stupid, some idjit threw a fresh coat of paint on it. Great line. Well done.

take care and stay safe,

Ray

How the mighty are brought low! I hoped the townspeople would at least give CB Hoyt a good beating, or throw rotten tomatoes at him. He seems to have got off lightly, even if he has to clean up messes. He probably thinks it's bad enough.

Thank you, heart of Lou. I think CB would rather take a beating than be brought to this situation. I'm sure the townsfolk will abuse him at will. Thanks again. Peace, Lee

CB a well to do man who does a lot of bed-hopping gets just do from a woman, Maelene, acting as a judge over his misdeeds. She gathers his wife and the ladies he wrong and exact revenge on him. The ending was clever.

Thanks so much, Phillip. Yes, Maelene served as judge, and rivalled Solomon, I think. Thanks again. Peace, Lee

A man had better watch his ass when a few wronged women decide to get together and make him their bitch. There ain't no such concept as freedom when he gets handed that kind of life sentence. I enjoyed seeing CB get his comeuppance. No cowboy deserved it better. Good one Lee. Brought the story home in fine fashion.

A Solomon-like ending, Lee. Everyone got just what they deserved. Great characters and wicked humor make this story a great piece of entertainment. Well done. :) Nancy

Very few men can regain a good attitude when their sins are pointed out and they are nailed to the wall. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.
