Congratulations on your win with this. Both your win in the court, and your win in the contest. Clearly an all-male jury in both cases. It is encouraging to think that approximately 50% of the population have a clear sense of justice. Good luck with the crowd-funding.

Thanks, Tony. Perhaps there's a place for me on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

This is absolutely adorable. Ironically, I'm writing a similarly themed short story about the same sort of thing. Good luck with this in the contest.

AaaaaaaaaaaaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh my God, Mark, this is hysterical. Not ONLY do I think it's well-deserving of consideration for SOM, it gets my vote.

Thanks, Dawn. I appreciate the six and the vote, but mostly I like that it made you laugh - that's the whole point, and it will motivate me to keep churning them out.

:)))) Excellent! I'll have to remember to READ! Memory's not my strong suit (if I have one). LOL.

Hilarious, Mark. I loved the line. She's a little stupid but know functional. I enjoyed the comparison of Django with his case. Nicely done.

Take care,
Russell

great writing Mark. I have never been in a Courtroom so I take my murder stories on the appreciation of good writing, and this story joined the ranks of the best.

Thanks so much for the six. This is a fun series to write - I've not written one in a while and I'm trying to get back to them.

This is so funny that I am sitting here laughing out loud. Thankfully I didn't read this while sitting in the library, but I am at the park alone. This is genius, keep on writing. However, you need to do something wonderful for Maggie, for her allowing you to use her in this way.

First of all, ,is "Oceanna Sands" your real name? How cool if it is!

Secondly, thanks for this great review - so glad you got a laugh out of it.

reply by Oceanna Sands on 22-Sep-2018
Mark, I'm sorry to say that is not my real name. I adopted that name when I was on Second Life. It's much cooler than my real name.

Oh, what an understanding wife you have, OR she doesn't see your posts. OR she doesn't care because she knows you're a tad crazy. just kidding.
Cute, cute, as always.
I love the reason you killed her - cutting the grass. perfect.
Maybe this could be the beginning of a series - the whys and wherefores of killing your wife.
Loved it.

This was Great!!! I loved it. I want that lawyer! The only little mistake I saw was you have prosecutor Sally Fibber saying "The defense rests its case." Otherwise t, this is the funniest thing I've read on here to date.

I do like the names, they are quite Dickensian in their tendency to reflect elements of the person's character, apart from one. Who the heck is this idiot Valentine? Could you not have given him an appropriate moniker? M.T.Scrotum might seem appropriate as recognised by his council.

Now that is what I call justice. Pity about it not being a civil case though.

M T Scrotum! Wow! And you just came up with that in the course of writing a review. I would give my right nut (or both of them) to have a wit like that.

reply by Pantygynt on 19-Sep-2018
    Dear Max Thomas.

Oh go on! My wit is nothing compared to yours. Lol
