I liked reading this, since I am a big fan of the original "Star Trek" series, too. I thought it did well in keeping to the spirit of the TV show. I suspect Uhura's original Tribble recognized her, or else it was a friend of the original one. I noticed one misspelling: I agree, they need a permeant home."
I guess you mean 'permanent home' there. Nice share.

I am honored you read my Star Trek and tale and thanks for pointing out the spelling error. I appreciate your taking time to read my story. Love Kirk, Spock and McCoy, my husband and I still watch the original show. Elaine

Good read... Kirk and Spock save the day again. I remember the episode of the Tribbles.... they looked so adorable and cuddly. I cannot imagine them being huge... haha. Great job on this write.

As is, definitely holds the 60s tones with a slight blurring into the Next Gen...doesn't quite capture either era of the series.

The Tribbles sections need enhancing to offer an explanation properly why Klingons would be afraid. Perhaps, there's the point for developing the write fully - really depends on the purpose for writing.

Adventure spirit...the fearlessness of exploration.

Like the picture.

Is this a cheerleader's pom-pom?

Great story. Fast action. Short paragraphs.

Good characterisation of our well known Starship friends.

Good speech and conversations, that keep it fast moving.

Good mystery - Will Kirk hook up with Rowana?

I am much more interested in the next episode. If she gets beamed
up, because they are so short of space on Enterprise, will she have to share with Kirk?

Possibly not. A lot of readers would object!

And will Kirk have to manfully fight off the Tribbles, which will try to harass Rowana? Proving he's a true Alpha-Male.

I'm really into this story, and it's hardly begun!

Thanks for your inspiration.

It reminds me that it's a lot easier to write a story with characters that are already
known to the readers.

PS: Would like to know if Spock's frequent eyebrow-rise is indicative of some internal process. Or if it's just metaphorical, or mischievous, for that matter.

You are definitely a devoted Trekkie. I used to enjoy them too, for quite a time. But I am a busy single Mom then, sending my children to college. Now they are all grown up professionals with stable jobs but I have outgrown my penchant for sci-fi stories. Thanks for sharing.

As a lifelong Star Trek fan I enjoyed this saga, you nailed the characters perfectly. I didn't like where the story went, (sanctuary cities and such) although it was very Roddenberry-isque.

Yep, that's old scjool Kirk all right. he'd do anything of the female variety. lol

One eye brow is raised - eyebrow can be a single word here.

They are furry round creatures. You beamed them to one of our ships!" - need opening speech marks here.

Spock's left eyebrow raises up. "Fascinating".- end punctuation should come inside the speech marks here.

Sometimes you capitalise tribbles and other times not. Best to jeep it consistent.

" I am not sure what we can do. Tribbles were no trouble on my ship except they reproduce constantly" - delete the space following the opening speech marks and you need end punctuation before the closing speech marks.

When the ship you beamed them to arrived, our scientists - need opening speech marks here.

His face breaks into a wide grin". - no need for the speech marks here.

Lt. Uhura who is observing the rolling Tribbles approaches - Lt. Uhura, who is observing the rolling Tribbles, approaches.

The Starship Athena will be in this area - need opening speech marks here.

He smiles and she smiles back at him." - delete the unnecessary speech marks.

It is fascinating that they do not like Klingons". - put punctuation inside.

Kirk takes out his communicator. "Scotty, begin beaming up giant Tribbles" - need end punctuation before the closing speech marks.

I appreciate........ we appreciate your taking time - need opening speech marks here.

and she appears to be embaressed. - embarrassed.

I have to admit my favourite series is still the original series but DS9 did a great episode intercutting their cast with the original in Trails and Tribble-ations.

All the best

I appreciate your taking time to review and edit my story. I actually wrote this story while ill, so I am surprised it made any sense at all. I am going to revise it with your suggestions. Thanks again for pointing out the errors.

I loved DS9, it is my favorite next to the original series.

It is obvious you are a Star Trek fan and know the original cast very well, especially Captain Kirk and Spock. It's also fun to see the Tribbles reintroduced. But the Klingon princess seems too tame to be a Klingon and the story needs some conflict besides the decision to beam them aboard.
A couple spelling errors:
[RAPPORT] with the Tribbles
Stop these [AWFUL] creatures
