I the ground truth in this succinct message brings perspective to how short and fleeting our time is here. And how fragile we really are. Simply corporeal leaves ourselves, so to speak, we could also fall at anytime and be ground into the earth just as easily.

Wow, I'm not sure what I was trying to write when I began this review the other day, but obviously, I botched it. Sorry. Please excuse the murky message's beginning.

I agree after Fall, the next season takes over and the time's cycle moves on a this poem.s the earth orbits around the sun. Life is just like that. when someone closes the door, another door opens. Thanks for sharing this poem.

I assume it's winter whose time will soon come...noooooo! I love fall and you represent it beautifully with your words and image, but please stop winter from coming. Not a fan, of cold and snow, but I am a fan of your Haiku. Best of luck in the contest.

Striking Awareness!
Cheers, Sanku;
>I really thought this was ingeniously creative how you went along with your satori Taurean gave you on that moment of understanding, where we are compared to the life of a leaf, as read too all shall die.
>I love this was an effective haiku because of the Kigo or seasonal reference and the good structural format with the proper syllabic count.
>Good luck in the contest and take care and have a good one.

Good aha in the satori - everyone's time will come eventually. fine form. Haiku does not permit periods, so I suggest deleting the one on the end. Fine consonance of L in leaf, falls and will. Fine alliteration and consonance of T as well.
Hope your time comes late!

Namaste,
rd

Thank you very much for pointing that out. I knew no punctuations, but I thought there has to be a fullstop at the very end.
    Namaskaram.

Can I write about the time I met you at the Amrita hospital years back? Imagine meeting you here .I will write only with your permission.

Absolutely, dear. Feel free to do so.
My health is not so great these days (mostly menopause related issues) so I see way fewer patients than I used to. I recall those old days fondly...I used to work 15-18 hour days without any trouble! Can't imagine it now.

    Love,

Yes no truer words have ever been written, well maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but that said, this is a fine comparative haiku as humanity does very much operate in the cycles of nature. The fallen leaf an apt metaphor for life.

A fine presentation and I wish you much luck with the Contest Committee Sanku. :)

This is a very nice Haiku. The image compliments the piece nicely. With my 50th birthday on the horizon I am resonating with the look and feel of Autumn this year. Before you know it the season is upon you. Good luck with the contest. ;)

Your poem is very honest because that's the way it really is. As my friend Ted says, "no one gets to leave this world alive". I believe if you feel your life has been well spent and you've done the best you can, dying doesn't look so bad. I'm curious to see what's on the other side. I'm not quite ready for that yet, but when the time comes, I hope I am. Best wishes.

I absolutely love this! This is such a profound statement about our time on earth/detaching leaf-metaphor!! And what a perfectly written haiku! Your format is nicely written (5-7-5 requirement met)
