VIRTUAL SIX -- I wish I had a real one for you, as this is a lovely, lovely poem, June! It makes a parent proud to see their youngster grow up and become independent, but is even more wonderful to have them return home again. I especially love the second half of your Puente poem. It is so very touching.

I love this form (thanks for your author notes) with its bridge line and how the poem turns to another aspect of your topic. Great job on this Potlatch challenge!

Hugs,
Connie

Lovely Puente poem June, you've mastered this form extremely well. In the first verse bringing up the child so that he may confidently go out into the world, and in the second, knowing that to the loving home he always will return.
very nice,
cheers,
valda

This is very well composed, June. Great job. Your message is nicely united by the pivot line. Word choices are good, as is rhyme. First part is the child spreading his wings, second is honoring parents and home as he ages. Marilyn

This is stellar, June. Each section of the child's life traversed with the bridge of stars guiding him home.

Your metre is fine, your rhymes too and most importantly a most uplifting message in a well crafted Puente.

Excellent and a pleasure to read and review.

Gloria

How true your words. A loving home will always welcome family back no matter the time or years gone by, that home will always stand by. I loved your poem and if everyone had a loving home there might not be so much violence today.

Appreciate very much your thoughtful comments. The family is the basic foundation of society - and when it's not strong, things will crumble. Glad you got the gist of this puente. Always good to hear from you.

A very well-written Puente poem about the little children we cannot always see enough to become part of our lives and have some positive influence in their lives.

Smiles to you June Sargent
All I know to write a Puente poem is no easy task to write, I like how you bridged your poem with you last verse.
